"Yes mother." Kinyago responded to her mother's request. Bowing her head she exited the den they were living in to go to the river and 'wash up'. The small green female knew that it was the best idea to do as her mother asked her to without hesitation. Her parents were never angry at her, but that was because she never gave them a reason to be angry. No, she was the perfect little girl.
Her light green tipped paws padded softly through the grasses, her tail swaying back and forth with every step she took. Her brown eyes stared mostly before her but occasionally glance to the sides when she saw some rustling in the bushes close by. There wasn't a smile nor a frown upon her maw, they were just....expressionless. That was the best way to go. It always was, unless she was talking to her parents and they expected her to smile, then she'd plaster on that fake-but-real-looking smile she spent so long practicing.

The juve had spent his life here, he had been born along with two aunts and an uncle as well as some of his cousins. He had two brothers that were directly related to him. It seemed so strange to be living somewhere that had so much family near by. He wanted to just escape and have some time alone. Though he didn't spend much time with his family just knowing they were near by could be a little suffocating sometimes.
He was off to get a drink today and maybe have a bath. He did like to roll about in the water, his fur dripping wet. His mother had told him stories of a place where she once had lived. Apparently that place was suppose to flow with water but didn't because of a curse or something. He wasn't sure, he could ask his grandmother but she seemed so tired, he didn't want to tire her more.
He reached the water, running and jumping into the water. He loved the cool water. It was great when you had a black coat such as his!

It wasn't long before the leopon reached the opening leading to the river, however she stopped before ever setting foot out into the open. Her dusty brown eyes had caught sight of the dark male forcing her to freeze. Kinyago didn't want to intrude or interrupt his fun but she still needed to wash up.
Decisions, decisions.....
Finally she made her choice, she would rather have someone she didn't know angry at her than her mother, after all she had to be the perfect child. Inhaling deeply the green female stepped forward into the open and trotted towards the water downstream away from the other as to not disturb him before coming to stop at the water's edge and dipping her paws in.
