Izulu sighed softly as he flopped himself down underneath the old tree, his eyes half-lidded but still watching his surroundings. If that annoying girl from the other day decided to show up, he just might have to try and run without her noticing he was there. She couldn't accuse him of being a bad friend if she never saw him leave, right? With a soft frown, he shook his head, knowing that that was ridiculous. No - he'd have to put up a good face and try to tolerate her. When it came down to it, she really wasn't all that bad, and he suspected she only bothered him because she was driven half mad by all her sisters. He was even, admittedly, a little bored today - so he wouldn't mind some form of company, even if it happened to be her. As long as said company was ridiculously irritating, he didn't think it would be that bad of a problem.

With a little yawn, he settled his head down onto his paws and busied himself watching the passing of the stream. It was strangely comforting, the soft rush of water, the ways the glittering liquid streamed through its weaving course. He liked this spot in particular and never strayed very far from it when he wasn't out with his mother. That's how Umbia always found him - he was always in the same place.

He frowned as his stomach gave a rather loud lurch, grumbling because of his lack of food. He didn't know what he could get by himself since his mother had up and gone off somewhere. She was always doing that, forgetting she had the boys to look after now, especially when she wanted to find their father. He supposed if he really got desperate, he could try catching another turtle, but he wasn't sure how well that would go by himself. His mom had showed him, sure, but she was so much better at it than he was! He was, after all, just a cub.
