-- Aim rp between Kisoni and DFA (Nyota and Tsi'hilu) "Tsi," Nyota rubbed his head against his mate's neck in greeting as he came up beside her. It'd been a long day, mostly away from her side, and it was... well, it bothered him to admit it, but he did not care to be away from her. In fact, it was almost painful, in a non-physical sort of way. Yet another scary aspect to this relationship.
He tried not to think about it in those sort of terms and instead smiled at his mate as he joined her under the scant shade offered by a sun-twisted tree. It was almost night time anyway, so the sun wasn't a terrible bother. "Have you spoken to that sister of yours? ... Wally, i believe?" He knew they meant to leave soon, the wolf clan on their first 'hunt'. "Hmmmm?" she'd leaned in instantly as he'd rubbed his head against her neck; it was done and pulled off mostly by instinct, never giving it a second's thought, "I have," she nodded her head slightly, then lifted it up to gaze at the setting sun, watching the light and shadows play tricks and paint beautiful scenes before them, "Taika too; they had the same response. They said they'd come. Taika said she'd drag that... ..." she snapped her fingers, unable to recall the male waterbuck's name, "The boy, the buck," an ear twitched over at him, a small smile gracing her maw, "I'm excited," it showed too; it was the first time she'd be travelling in a clan... since so young. Her body itched for it. "I can tell," Nyota chuckled softly and gave her thoat a nibble. Indeed he could, in fact he could practically smell it. Laying his head over her shoulders, the male let his eyes close for a long moment, reveling in the sheer contentment of it. He gave a long sigh, then smiled slightly, "So we're leave as soon as you feel you're ready, oh beautiful leader." Indeed, it was in the air... and her every muscle; they tensed and relaxed, her claws unsheated as if waiting for her to pounce even though she never made a move to. Such restlessness was odd in Tsi'hilu, whom was usualy so calm, and yet, there it was, "I missed this," it was hard to figure if she meant the 'hunt' in question or the feel of his head against her felt; contact on a whole had been something she'd been depreived of... dearly missed. The sky clan had done what they could, but never could they have offered this sort of love. She closed her eyes, lifting her head up, allowing the wind to play with her bangs and the feather that hung from her ear, "We leave tomorrow. Where to is a mystery though," she smiled then."There's no reason to pick a destination," He replied easily, almost giving a little chuckle at her response. He had almost been certain that she would have said 'now'. The male heaved himself up into more of a sitting position an moved hi head to begin grooming the back of her neck. Inbetween licks he spoke, slowly. "There's a lot of open land out there... most of which niether of us knows. Its easier just to wander with the herds and never bother with a game plan for it.. until we need to." "No, no there isn't," she opened her eyes then, "My mother never did. And yet when it was time for all the clans to meet together, she just always knew. She'd wake up one day and she'd bring us back here," blinking, she lowered her head, offering her mate another smile, "She always knew. I thought it was magic, back then," indeed, she'd wished to say 'now', but the fact that Wally was giving her good byes kept her. Instead she allowed herself to that in the scenery again; she'd not miss it. Not really. She never missed places she knew she'd go back to. Moving, she followed Nyota's movements, allowing him access to her neck, her ear flicking as she too note to return the favour later, "We never will; world's too big for that," a pause as she seemed to ponder, "I saw a winged lion once... days ago. When I saw him... I thought 'wow, he can see the world, that's marvelous'." That caught Nyota's ear and one of them literally twitched. "A winged lion?" Was all he ended up saying, but that was enough.

She seemed to have fallen silent for a moment, deep in thought, as if reliving something. A moment went by thought and she furrowed her brow slightly, "Yes; winged. He was large.... very big. Biggest lion I've ever laid eyes on.... bigger than the rogues I've seen; I know Ela are small lions," she turned to face her mate, her head tilted, "But this one... far surpased anything I'd have thought posible; his pelt was green... he had large black wings, with bones. And red eyes. He looked like a monster," another pause, "He called himself Deception," she looked confused then.
Bells went off. There was a long pause.. and then began the laughter. Nyota really couldn't help it as his shoulders began to shake, nor when he had to put one paw to his muzzle to keep the laughter in. Said paw raised to cover his squeezed shut eyes, however, and soon he was laughting aloud.
Blinking, Tsi'hilu turned her head to watch her mate. Laughter was not something unheard of for them; indeed, ever since they'd become mated, the larger male had become to release himself. As if a dam were breaking, cracking, little by little. However, the laughter that rung about them now at her words, was not something she'd expected. Rather than question him, she waited it out, her eyes full of mirth, "What?" she leaned in the nuzzle his neck, his laughter contagious, forcing her to chuckle along with him, her laughter softer than his, "What's so funny?"
He shook his head finally, the laughter dribbling from a waterfall to a slow trickle and finally to a stop. He wiped one eye. "Deception. hahahahahehee. heh.. hehh..h-h-h-o-okay.. i'm sorry. .Heheh.. ah." Nyota paused to clear his throat. "When.. i found Misae. She had been chased from her home.. by a giant, red eyed thing with large, dead and broken wings.. and a pelt the colour of death."
Tsi'hilu paused, literaly. Her paw that had been held up frozen for just a moment, her brows shooting up, "Well, when he saw me, he called me Malika," she smiled slightly, "Told me he was a god..." she seemed to hesitate, "That's a dead on description of what I saw; his wings made the most horrible of sounds. Actualy, funny thing was... he was hunting. Dropped out of the sky; tackled the same buck I did. Or we tried. He kind of tackled me instead. Huh," she seemed amused by the ordeal now.
"Yes, well he's an--HE DID WHAT?"
"Tackled me?" she tilted her head, "I didn't think it was very funny at the time," despite what she'd thought at the time, she seemed amused now, "I think he didn't quite expect a lioness to appear out of nowhere and try to take down the waterbuck he'd been aiming for. He got me instead," a pause followed, "I wasn't hurt. And I had quite an amusing time watching him pick up the pieces of his broken ego from the floor. Said he miscaluted," another pause her maw wrinkling with confusion, "Why would a God need to hunt?"
Nyota settled down after a moment, more than a little ruffled by his unaccustomed display of... well, jealousy and over-protectiveness. He gave another little cough, a clearing of his threat and reshaped his dignity in a much more quieter fashion than the god ever would. "Well.. I can't say I know much about Gods or Goddesses... though I met his sister before, it seems. She mentioned him, but I didn't make the connection as to... Misae's involvement with him."
"Sister?" her ears perked then, feeling, much like he had just moments ago, a pang of jelousy; of course, it wasn't nearly as pronounced, for after all... he was here with her, and not with the goddess herself. Despite that she seemed to feel the need to ask, "How was she?" she'd not recognised his small fit as jelousy, just like she didn't quite recognise the worm of a feeling that was gwaking at her mind at that precise moment. She had to keep herself from pouncing him and pressing herself to him. Instead she rubbed herself insistently against his neck

"A strange creature, though pleasant to be around." He chuckled and nipped her ear lovingly. "Truth was ever my mistress, though." He winked, "In a non-literal sense."
"I never had a mistress," she said as she stopped the insistent rubbing, unconsiously marking him like all felines marked that what they deemed theirs, "My people have always believed in the Gods and Spirits," a pause, "We just never thought them to be that literal," another pause, followed by a frown, "Or that clumbsy; he landed face first."
That inspired another laugh, granted a much more mean spirited one. Still, nyota couldn't help but respond to the rubbing with a little of his own. "Well.. I won't deny her, at least, there's nothing wrong with a little Truth in your life... but i'd much rather not meet the literal versions of Gods at all. that just.. complicates things."
"I've always followed the ways of the spirits. The winds, the rocks, the earth.... emotions however... our people were never told about those gods," her ear flicked, "I wonder what Truth had to say; Deception didn't have much to say. It was obvious that our meeting wasn't 'oficial bussiness' but more like a 'detour'," still amused, she snorted softly throught her nose, then she paused to ponder, "I've never thought my destiny to be any other than my own," turning to face him, she licked his face, grooming the pelt there, where she'd disarranged it, "I met you; that was all I ever needed."
"I don't think their existance is indicative of destiny," He shook his head, then shrugged, "But who knows? I'd rather not ask them."
The small female nodded her agreement to that question, "No, it's not," she seemed to hesitate for a moment before leaning in against him, her eyes closing, "They exhist for a reason but I think it's mostly just to guide, than to really interfere," this said she let out a small sigh, "Either way, we should think about resting, there's a long trip ahead of us tomorrow," and she smiled at that thought for there was nothing else in her mind that would have pleased her more than travelling.
He chuckled as he caught her change of mood as soon as she'd brought up their leaving. She was easy to read, at least for him, and he... loved that about her. It was still odd to admit to anything of the sort, but there you had it. He lapped lazily at her shoulder, then gave it a nibble and rested his head across it. "i think that rest would be wonderful," He agreed.
