Akai flushed at the indirect compliment, though it was more the idea that the butterfly thought so than anything. "Really? Do you really think so?" She knew that her coat colour made her stand out a bit comppaired to her sibilings, especially her black brother. Her family loved her, but sometimes it was a tiny bit hard to feel like you fit in when you didn't really look like any of them.
Akai smiled at Wacheza. "Maybe, but we'll grow up big and strong, right!" She was always taught that the world could open up anything to her, and all she wanted was to be strong enough for anyone she cared for. That would be the best thing in the world. "And we can keep the sea safe from...from uh..." She really didn't know anyone bad, or anything bad, so she just shrugged. "Anything that might want to be mean to it!"

Wacheza couldn't help but laugh at that, "Yeah, when we're big and strong, we'll be sure to do that." He nodded to her butterfly, "And protect them as well. They're smaller than we are... we have to keep them safe." Which had never been something Wacheza expected to do... he abhored fighting in every way, shape, and form. Maybe that made him a coward... but he didn't really care. He wanted to avoid violence anyway. But maybe... when he thought about it, he would try to stand up for his smaller friends and his home. He wasn't really sure, in the end.

Akai nodded. "I wanna make sure that they stay really safe!" Even if she still didn't know what could harm them. Everything around the sea seemed so quiet, so peaceful, so perfect.
Her ears perked up though, as she thought she heard something. She took a good look up at the sky, noticing where the sun was. While it wasn't late, she had been running around, spending a lot of time away from her family. She didn't want to make her mother worry, or her dad, though she knew he liked her brothers just a tiiiny bit more, and should probably go home.
"Ummm," she said, shifting her weight again. "I'll come find you again. I think I should go home now....'cause I've been away for a while." She hoped that he'd be okay with it, but she would for sure come out to find him again! She would make it a promise.

"Okay..." Wacheza nodded before he also glanced up at the sky, "It is late..." his own family was probaly going to get worried about him soon. He had best head back, closer to his pride. So he smiled at her and nodded, "Take care of the butterfly, okay?"

"I promise!" she blurted loudly, feeling the butterfly get startled. Oops, oh no! She told herself to calm down, and the tickle of the butterfly's little legs were on her fur once again. Okay, she could totally do this!
"I'll bring the pretty butterfly back to show you," she promised, giving him a quick, strong bow before slowly padding off, as if she was walking through fire. She wanted to make sure that the butterfly wouldn't leave her all of a sudden, and if she walked suuuper carefully, everything would be okay!

Wacheza just smiled and waved goodbye as she left. He knew she would take good care of his little friend, and she certainly did seem like she would keep her word. That made him happy. And so he looked back into the distance and thought quietly to himself.
