I've been having a problem, when I'm crocheting it always comes out too tightly woven should I just do bigger loops and just don't pull so tight?

Either pull your loops out a little more, just work looser in general, or try a bigger hook, which will force you to work looser.

Personally, i think if your just starting, try just working looser, make sure your using the hook size recommended for your yarn. If you still can't get it, try moving up a hook size or two.

Try a larger hook. Everyone has their own tension. Mine is really loose so I usually use a smaller hook. Also most patterns will give you a tension size ..try making a couple of small test swatches. It's worth the extra time.

I'd use a larger hook.

you can also gauge tension pretty well by looking at the yarn as it comes off your finger. If it is hurting your finger, or 'cutting' into the tip then you should set the work down, stretch a pick, pick it up and relax. The yarn should glide, which will take some practice to get right... but your fingers will love you for it smile

If you're stressed out it will show up in your tension too. I do some deep breathing exercises and try to get the kinks out of my back before sitting down to work on a project if I'm under stress.
