"The Stargrove? Certainly! It's been a little while since I've been there, I'm sure it's all over grown again. Though perhaps it's better that way, makes the place seem more innocent and perfect for the gods to visit us, if they so choose."
He nudged Adi'sa's shoulder with his own. He really was growing up. That, or Tawa'di was starting to shrink! Either way, it was amazing just how fast he had seemed to grow up. Almost too fast. With a sigh, he shook his head, letting his worries fall away. "And a new friend? Well, that's certainly something to hear! I'd be pleased to meet a friend of Adi'sa's, any day."

"I agree Elder. No place could be more unspoiled than the Stargrove," he commented, almost dreamlike in his mannerisms. It was one of those places that never ceased to fill him with awe, least because of what he'd seen there.
Adi'sa mentally paused a moment, letting his feet carry on. Was something troubling the Elder? Or maybe he was just tired. Life was arriving in the lands every day and that no doubt took its toll on the nvwati-come-leader. He stayed his tongue to any questions and just walked alongside his friend, his mentor.
"...ah yes...Nili, she calls herself. She's actually an OLD friend of sorts. She knew my...mother...when I was but a cub. She donated this," and then he gave a flick of his head in order to make his feather sway.

"Nili, hmm? Well, that's certainly a good thing!" He eyes the feather, still not certain of the race of his old friend, but hey, at least he did have a friend, and one that would remind him of his parents. At least he never lost sight of them.
"Do you suppose she's waiting in the Stargrove for you?" He hadn't a clue. It wasn't like the area was secret, just many did not step foot in the grove of trees, which was all the better to to old nvwati.
He did his best to match his pace with Adi'sa's, as he didn't want to slow down the younger lion at all. He could still keep up, really!

Poor Adi'sa. He was oblivious to his pace and only realised when he caught himself looking over his shoulder slightly to speak to Tawa'di. Trying to hide the awkwardness and embarrassment, he made out that something had caught his eye whilst the elder took a few paces to catch-up.
"Nili? Maybe. She doesn't know these lands as well as the old ones, and she might not know of the Stargrove's sacred nature. She's a bit of a battle-axe really, I think she'd take on a God if one suddenly appeared," he chuckled, taking a quick look around to make sure she wasn't in earshot.
"Tailsin doesn't think much of her."

Tawa'di grinned. Oh, one like that, hm? Well, that was certainly an influence that the timid Adi'sa needed to shake him in his boots a bit.
"Well, she certain sounds like something. Perhaps it would be good for us, we have far too many of us that are sweet and welcoming, and that was what lead up to our downfall in the past. But what's past is past, and all we can do is learn from it and grow stronger from our scars."
He let his mind chew on that for a moment, especially as he saw the tips of the trees that created the grove before him. They hopefully would never have to go through that again.
He laughed. "It's cute that Tailsin is like that. Does this Nili stand up to her too, then?"

"Hehe, I'm sure she wouldn't mind imparting her unique slant on life to others. Why should I hog her all to myself?" he laughed. If Nili caught him talking like this, she'd whip him with her tail-feathers or something!
Adi'sa went respectfully quiet at the elder's latter comments, not actually sure if he should add to them. He was optimistic, but he couldn't help feel a little uncertain, what with such small numbers and no definitive leader for everyone to look to. And Tawa'di...well, he might not be here forever, despite Adi'sa's inner wishes.
"Cute?" he piped up, a little confused. "Well...errr. I dunno...but Nili definitely voices her opinion around Tailsin. She sits on her head to annoy her."

Tawa'di laughed. Well, if she was able to sit on Tailsin's head, then she certainly wasn't anything larger than a bird! It would make sense, if she had given him the feather that he wore proudly. Well, good.
"But a little harmless conflict couldn't do any real damage. I'm sure it makes things interesting when the three of you are around rogether, right?" He let himself imagine just what the exchange could be like, especially with the boundless energy that it seemed Tailsin had. All three were different, but it sounded like they got along, even if it was under different definitions of what it took to 'get along' and be 'friends'.

"Its more than interesting, its a riot," he chuckled. "Gotta keep one eye on Tailsin and one eye on Nili. I'm dizzy by the end of it all!"
This felt good, it was always to comforting to be able to come to Tawa'di for just a talk about random things. He no doubt could relate to some of the things Adi'sa was going through as well. What would he do when he was gone? Who would he turn to? These troubling thoughts were of little weight at the moment.
The Stargrove was just ahead.
It always filled his stomach with butterflies to approach this place, and his pace slowed, as if he had to approach with caution.

Tawa'di chuckled as well at Adi'sa's comment, but he didn't say anything. He had a feeling that perhaps Mana was already in there, waiting for Adi'sa. He wasn't sure, he felt no real tickle of his sight in his mind. He couldn't tell Adi'sa when the goddess would talk to him, since he had no idea himself.
He stood there for a moment, just staring at the trees. From the outside, it didn't look like much, but the inside was beautiful. It was one thing that he always loved about these lands. Sure, they had to leave their original homes, the borthplace of many of the Ela'wadiyi. But they didn't have anything like the Stargrove, as far as he could remember.
"Well? Shall I see you later then, if you're going to enter?" He couldn't go with the novice nvwati, but he would try to meet up with him soon after.

Adi'sa looked from the towering trees of the Stargrove to his friend, and back again, wondering at first if maybe he'd said or done something wrong that would prompt his friend's departure.
"Aren't you-" he began, and then the realisation sweeped across him and he nodded at Tawa'di. "Yes elder, I'm certain we'll bump into each other again, we always do."
He took a few steps forward, into the 'threshold'. He looked back at Tawa'di, maybe for just one last inkling of what the elder could see, if anything. One last clue as to what the elder actually knew, what he had up his sleeves. He peered forward into the seeming gloom, and then entered.

Tawa'di smiled. He knew that their meeting would be important, perhaps, but he actually had no ideas as to the details. Mana might tell him later on, but she might not. And if she didn't want the old nvwati to know, then she would swear the younger nvwati to secrecy.
With a sigh, he took a few steps towards a rock, where he would curl up, and wait. He had no idea of Adi'sa would want to see him right after, so being as close and easy to contact would be the best way.
In the time between, though, he would nap. And napping was what he did best.
