Once, I was in an Azumanga Daioh forum and a girl was trying to say something about Azumanga Daioh, and this is what it said (I won't put her username because I don't want to be rude):

OMG! OMG! OMG! Osaka ish lyk soooo aweshum! I wish tht I wuz her! She ish soooo funi!

Translation:

Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! Osaka is so awesome! I wish that I was her! She is so funny!

This makes me wonder...are all anime fanatics mindless chatspeakers??? It seems like I know a tiny handful of people who are literate and sane-minded anime fans. confused

I'm an anime fanatic, and I'm literate.

I'm serious, I won't watch anything except anime anymore. xd

Most of my friends who are anime fans also are literate. I'm an anime fan as well, but I will honestly admit I barely beginning my journey to becoming a hardcore fan.

In any case, I think, like with anything else good in this world, there are bound to be a bunch of people like this admiring it. -shrugs-

Literate Anime fans do exist but... personally, I think the majority of them are hiding from the illiterate world.
