Tamu looked geniuinely startled and rather dumb-struck. How could lions like that exist? What kind of life was that, forcing fear and terror into the hearts of others until their very beliefs changed to hate...
"That sounds dreadful! No wonder you wanted to get away from it all..." she said with disgust. "If there's one thing I can do for the pride it will be to make sure nothing of that sort ever happens here."

With a nod, "It wasn't a great place to live, and my dad tried to make the best of it before he went in search of a new home for us." Sevati smiled softly, it was all but memories to her now. But, it made her more aware of the world around her and for that, she would never forget it.
Tamu's words were comforting. Prejudice is hard to live with, especially young cubs who are subjected to it day in and day out. "But that is all in the past, and it is nice to find a home where it doesn't matter what you are or what you look like," She paused briefly, "It's reassuring to hear that, because it's not a good environment for young cubs to grow up and be subjected to. It was hard for me, but even harder for my mate when he was young. Though, that is all in the past and hopefully our future will look brighter!"

For a moment, Tamu felt ever so slightly jealous. Oh, rest assured, she still felt that what Sevati and family had gone through was appalling. But still, it was an experience of life that had enevitably made the lioness stronger in character. She'd LIVED through it.
Tamu had never even seen anything of the 'bad' sort, excluding that one time she and her littermates encountered those particularly grumpy sand-crabs.
Grumpy crustaceans. That was her 'bad experience' in life.
"Yes, its all in the past now. You don't have to dwell on it when you're here."

With a slight nod of her head, Sevati couldn't help but to agree. That was all in the past and it would stay that way. Things would be different from now on, things would be better. Lime green eyes noted the passage of time as she turned back towards Tamu, "I should start heading back now," She paused briefly, "It was a pleasure to meet you, Tamu. I hope we run into each other very soon!" As she bid the princess a farewell, she turned to head back towards her den and to where she knew Ravi would be waiting.
