okay so I'm trying to reinstall the Sims 2 (uninstalled it a long time ago cause I was bored with it) and I'm at seasons right now... and it gets stuck at 7% and then this lovely message pops up..
"A Problem Occurred when trying to transfer the file 'TSDataResSoundMisc.pakage' From the Media"
it had the options to retry or cancle... I clicked retry and again, stuck at 7% and the message pops up :/
so whats wrong with my game this time? DX I have the worst luck with these games I swear >_<;

It sounds to me like your disc is scratched or dirty. Try giving it a clean.

I just noticed a big old ugly crack from the inner ring to maybe a half inch away from the edge of the cd... crying
guess the sims get lucky this time when they piss me off :/ no freezing for them...
