After Kota had come to relieve him of his duty some time ago, Ravi was heading back towards the waves where he knew his mate would be. Sevati was so captured by the ocean, it never ceased to amaze her -- or him for that matter. The male could feel the soft sand underneath his paws before his golden eyes settled on a white figure not too far off in the distance. With a soft smile on his face, he walked up alongside the lioness before he touched her neck with his nose, "Hey Sevi. Have a good day?" He was curious as to what she was up to recently. Ears flicked slightly, listening to the sounds around them.
Blissfully unaware of her mate coming, Sevati was letting the waves roll in over her paws. She was sitting there quietly, mulling over things that she should do. As a figure came and touched her neck gently, she jumped in surprise before she smiled to her mate. "Ravi!" Her tail flicked against him before she took a glance back towards the ocean. "Oh you you, just meeting some more members here and there, just keeping myself occupied with this wonderful place," She paused, "I wonder how my sister is doing. Her cubs should be getting bigger." She wanted cubs very much, but only when the time was right.

There were many advantages to living by the coast, and it wasn't just the constant cooling breeze from the ocean. A lot of the territory was tiered, and as such, gave Tamba some great looking points where he could either just sit and watch the skies and stars, or he could watch the land and its many inhabitants.
From one of his little watching-spots, he saw the bright coloured pair convene on the beach below. He'd monitored them from afar as they settled into their duties, something he wanted to encourage of all new members. Getting settled before acceptance. A happy pride was a healthy pride.
A smile creeped on his maw and he just continued to muse quietly for a few moments.
And then he descended, taking HIS way, which wasn't always the safest. But his small and nimble form meant he clung to the many surfaces as he hopped down from craggy rock, to boulder, to sand.

His mate's playful demeanor couldn't help but to rub off on him. Ravi smiled softly, "It is nice, there's always something to do here since the pride is still growing. It helps to give everyone a job." Which made him feel part of the pride than just another member since he had a job to do with Kota. While there was still much to learn, he was enjoying himself. "I know Kota was rather happy to help me, since I can give him time to spend with his family."
The white lioness couldn't help but to agree with her mate. Sevati knew what he meant, more so than he because she was from a pride whereas he was not. "Oh really? Well that's good. I guess that means we can see more of Kota and his family then. Perhaps we can be good friends!" She giggled softly before she turned her head back. Her lime green eyes spotted something not too far off in the distance. Normally she was on the last one that got to greet others, but this time, she had spotted the figure first. Curious, she watched the figure get closer before she called out cheerfully, "Tamba!"

Tamba raised an eye-brow at the very informal greeting, and mused whether he was losing his grip on his title. It wouldn't matter for much longer though, he had learned to accept his childrens' ascension to their duties as the royal bloodline.
"Sevati, Ravi," he greeted them both with a nod.

Ears flicked as Ravi watched Sevati curiously before her heard her call out a name. His eyes went wide in surprise before he chided her gently, "Sevi! That's no way to greet the king, at least give him a little more respect!" He was more used to the titles and such that other lions held, with his background unlike that of Sevi's. A slight dip of his head in Tamba's direction, he gave the king a warm smile. "It's good to see you again, King Tamba. How are you?"
With Ravi's gentle scolding, Sevati couldn't help but feel her face turn bright red from embarrassment. That was right, Tamba was royalty and to call him so informally without permission was bad. It was easy for her to forget the smallest details, unlike others. "Sorry Ravi." She gave the king an apologetic look as she said, "I'm sorry to call you so informally!" Her green eyes gazed down before she looked back to Tamba.

"Oh no worries, no harm done," he smiled at them both. He felt a little ashamed, but to see them both make efforts to greet him so formally always made him smile inside. Made him feel like he had a job to do.
Not for long though.
"I'm glad I've bumped into you both. I'd like to cordially invite you to stay, as permanent residents of the pride."

Eyes went wide as Ravi couldn't help but be surprised at Tamba's words. He wasn't expecting to hear them so soon. Though, he was relieved to hear that he would now have a home...a permanent one at that! He's never had a place to live, a place to call his own before now. And for that reason, this was a very special moment to him. With a large smile directed towards the king, "That is wonderful news to hear. Thank you very much for your acceptance of us!" He dipped his head in gratitude towards Tamba before raising it to glance at his mate. He could see how happy she was and it made him happy to have her wish finally come true. "We will do our very best to help the pride in any way."
The white lioness was relieved to hear that she hadn't offended Tamba in any way. The last thing that Sevati would want to do was tick off the king, because that would not be a wise move on her part. "Glad to hear that!" Then, the king's words brought a bright smile to her features as she felt herself fill up with excitment. The king had accepted them into the pride. "Wow!" Following after Ravi, she dipped her head towards Tamba as a way of thanking him. "I am very glad to hear this. It is wonderful to be able to call this place our home now."

He never got tired of seeing the happy reactions to being allowed to live here. And he only hoped the pride would continue to grow in a positive manner.
"You'll want to pick yourselves a comfortable den," he began to walk in a certain direction, hoping they'd follow. "The cliffs, where my family reside, don't actually have that much room, so they're usually reserved. The various rocky outcrops near the coastal jungle, however, are more numerous...and admittedly, more comfortable."

As Tamba spoke about finding a comfortable den, Ravi couldn't help but feel his spirits lift. While he wouldn't call sleeping under the stars uncomfortable, there was just a certain aspect about having your own den that made things feel like home. It would make this place feel more like home and make him feel more like a permanent resident. His golden eyes flicked towards Sevati, making sure that she was keeping up. To the king, "Thanks for the advice. It'll be nice to have a den of our own."
Red-tipped paws pushed herself up as Sevati went to follow after both her mate and the king. She was excited about the idea of getting to pick a den for their very own. Her tail flicked against Ravi gently before she put her attention back to Tamba, "Being out in the open has its advantages and disadvantages, but there's nothing quite like having a place to call your own!" She smiled, "Thank you very much for everything."

"You're both most welcome," he said back to them as he continued on, his tail gently swaying about behind him.
What a sight. A diminuitive lion, who turned out to be the king of these lands, leading two lions, one of which was female, who were both BIGGER than he was.
Signs of the jungle began to appear, and it was certainly picturesque with the sound of the ocean as a permanent soundtrack. Tamba stopped and inclined his head toward the jungle.
"You're free to choose a den on the outskirts or even a bit further in the jungle if you prefer," he smiled at them both. "I believe Kota is just a bit further up."

With a nod, Ravi replied to Tamba. "Yes. Kota's den is a bit further along, close to the jungle." With the waves rolling in and out behind them, his ears were perked forward. Golden eyes gazed over the scenery before them, wondering where Sevati would want their den to be placed. Well, he'd leave that up to her then. He did not have a preference as to where the den should be, just as long as he was with Sevi, that's all that mattered to him. He let his gaze shift over to his mate, "You can choose where you want the den, I do not mind."
Lime green eyes shifted between her mate and Tamba. Sevati couldn't help but to notice a considerable size difference between the two. She had never really thought about Ravi as being big, but compared to Tamba, he looked quite like his heritage. Her, on the other hand, she was not too much taller than the king. Her thoughts were broken by the king words about chosing a den close to the shore or in the jungle. Then, Ravi had wanted her to chose. She mulled over it slightly before she replied to Ravi, "I think I would prefer to have our den closer to the shoreline rather than further in the jungle. It'd be nice to wake up every now and then, early enough to see the sunrise or sunset in the evening." With the last part directed to the king, she had made up her mind with an affirmative nod of her head.

"I shall leave you two to get settled then," he nodded back at them. "I have some duties to attend to, but I'm sure you'd like some privacy now anyway. My daughter Tamu will probably stop by in a day or so, she has to get used to keeping abreast of whats happening."
Tambuzi bowed his head to them both and then slowly turned to depart, following the fading footprints all three of them had made on their way here.

With a nod, Ravi was grateful for everything the king had done for them. His tail flicked slightly as he had heard Sevati's preference and wouldn't have it any other way. To the king, "Thank you very much. We shall see each other soon." His gold eyes watched the king's fading figure walk back in the direction of which they had come.
Ears perked forward as Sevati was glad to hear that things are all in order and that they'd see Tamu soon! "Oh! I shall be looking forward to seeing her once more!" She dipped her head in gratitude towards the king before she watched him head back. She was quiet for a moment before she leaned against Ravi, "Things shall be different now."
