“Zimran, do you love him still?”

Xiu spoke out, her eyes narrowing, ears twitching, tail flicking. She was in a pissy mood again.

“He has changed and you know it. What if he doesn’t feel the same way about you anymore, what will you do then? Cry a river? Die of sorrow? You can’t let this silly emotion you call love end you if he isn’t the one you love anymore. He was reborn, they change when they do that, you know.”

Xiu Xiu and Zimran had been friends for a long time, and when Xiu got wind of Griff’s rebirth she had a fit. Why on earth would he leave her alone like that? It in ranged the Wolf –eyed Goddess.

“Xiu Xiu, please. He has not changed any. I know this. I saw him just the other day; he still loves me, and is still the same. Worry not about affairs that don’t involve you, please.”

She frowned at her friend and sighed. She knew Xiu Xiu was unhappy and had been hurt herself recently, but she was sick of her trying to upset her relationship with Griff. She would never think lily of him. Never.

“Heh, whatever you say, love.”

Xiu rolled her eyes and laid on her back, frowning bitterly. She was just trying to vent, but it was hard to such a kind creature such as Zimran.

“I just don’t wan to see you hurt like I was, you know this.”

Zimran's hear ached for her.

“I know.”

She nodded and sighed. She was not really the type to confess her feelings so openly.

“But do not worry about me. I won’t be hurt.”

“So little you know.”

Xiu huffed and rolled onto her other side, her back to her friend.

“Xiu, please. I wish you wouldn’t be that way. I’m sorry for what he did to you, but you won’t feel any better just laying here, being upset about it. You must go off and find him, find your children.”

Zimran’s eyes narrowed as she moved closer to the Goddess and sighed.

“Look, Zimran, thanks for your ‘help’ but I don’t need advice from you. Your life is perfect, you are prefect, you have never felt the pain of losing the one you love so deeply, not like I have, please do not try to sugar coat anything for me, I don’t want to hear it right now.”

Xiu stood up as she spoke, frowning even deeper than before. Her nostrils flared as she bruised past Zimran and stormed away, swearing to herself.

“Look. I need to be alone, I’ll find you again when I am ready to talk.”

Zimran’s heart sank as she looked down, sighing. She couldn’t help her best friend, she couldn’t make anything right again in her life. But… she didn’t have the right to judge her, no… she didn’t. Her life wasn’t easy, she knew, but Zimran was nothing along the lines of perfect.

The Goddess of purity stood defected again. When would Xiu Xiu snap out of it again?

"I am always here for you, you know...?"

Xiu Xiu just gave her a harsh snarl and turned, unwilling to answer the horned goddess.

"Fine. I am sorry I bothered you. But, please: Know I care about you-- alright?"
Zimran sighed and turned.

"I am here for you."

With that the young goddess left, leaving her sister to her own dismay.

Things were so hard right now.

As Xiu was far enough away from the other Goddess she lay down and wept, her paws over her face in shame. She had let a mortal get the best of her, take her life and cubs away, she had let someone so small destroy her. She felt so useless and powerless.

Rage was all that she could feel anymore. She wanted to get him back, she wanted him to pay for what he had done to her.

Never again would he trust her heart with a mortal, never again.

End.
