How do YOU pronounce Carlisle and Esme?

I believe it's Car-lyle and Ez-may. Saying it as Es-me sounds weird and Car-lis-le is really, really weird. Besides, if you look at it logically, and grammatically, the 'isle' as in, the 'forbidden isle' or some crap like that, add one more 'l' before that, you have Car-l-isle. Logically and grammatically speaking of course.

Hmmm...My feeling says that it should be Ez-Me not Ez-may. Unfortunately all the web sites I have found so far say it the oposite *shrugs*

lol i thought it was car-lisl for the longest time until my friend pointed it out and laughed at me stare so now i now it's car-lyle. i pronounced esme like ez-mey almost ez-may but not quite...i don't really know <.<

My mom likes twilight *shivers* but one day when I was talking about it she said it was pronounced Car-lyle. I still say Car-lis-le though.

I always pronounced their names "CAR-lyle" and "EZ-muh." Although, looking through these posts, I suppose "Ezmay" is right. lol
