Thalion:

Nekoda slowly cracked an eye against the rising sun and groaned in protest. A painted paw lifted up from the ground and draiped lazily across his eyes. It was too early for it to be bright. Granted, lions were nocternal and he had only been asleep for about an hour, but the morning rays were still unwelcome to the eyes right off.

He rolled himself around, back facing the sun. After a few more attempts and changes in position, he decided he was most definately awake, there was no fighting it.

Kisoni:
A white form decided it would be a grand time to roll over on top of her brothers head. It looked like an accident, but it was, of course, qutie deliberate. Nekoda had a habit of staying up far past what their mother denotated as 'bed time' and then refusing to get up in the morning. Lions may have been nocturnal, but that didn't mean their mothers didn't give them bed times for a reason! This just happened to be only one of them.

Insistant in her 'help', Ari rubbed her belly into her brother's face and squeezed her eyes shut. She was asleep, oh yes! oh yes! Nothing could tell her otherwise.

Thalion:
Nekoda sat himself up with a mew of protest. Something...someone rather... had bopped him on the head! How dare they?

He narrowed his eyes and slowly scoured the area. The others were sleeping quietly...it could have been any one of them. He had to catch them in the act! If he bit the wrong one, they'd all give him hell.

Kody laid himself down and narrowed his eyes, if they did it once, they'd do it again- then he'd have them!

Thalion:
Koda made a startled "MMPH!" Sound and began thrashing his front paws around. When that proved to do little more than... well make him look silly he took a moment to re-assess his situation.

Both painted paws pushed on his sister's side as his rear pushed up into the air and aided in the effort to free his head. Once that was managed, Kody was sent back on his bum, mane sent fluffed out in every which direction.

He narrowed his eyes and sharply glared down at the white female.

Kisoni:
Ari was still asleep!! Oh yes. Very asleep. never mind that her eye peeked open at him, then shut switftly when she found him looking. She was asleep and... she snored. With extreme exageration and as much sound as possible.

Thalion:
Koda stood himself up and casually walked over to her, eyeing her as she offered a possum stunt. Well fair was fair!

The brown cub turned himself and plopped his rump right down on her face. Take that!

Kisoni:
Bad move. The girl's first reaction was to struggle. Then, instead shesurged forward, into his body and tried to get her teeth about his tail.

Thalion:
Kody yelped and jumped what seemed like three feet into the air. Once his paws met with the ground he began bucking and kicking around, "OW OW OW OOOOOW!"

Kisoni:
She'd let go, of course, and rolled to get away from him when he landed. Giggling madly, the girl lowered herself into a crouch. She was just about to pounce her brother when a shadow fell across the both of them. Instinctively her ears laid back and she put forth her most innocent--and thus guiltiest--of all grins. "Good morning daddy."

"Good morning, young lady," Nyota replied.. and turned his attention on Koda. "young man. .. you two behaving yourselves?"

Thalion:
Kody sat himseld down and started rubbing at his tail. "Of course!" He flashed a grin and slowly rolled his eyes up to get a look at his bangs. Well he certainly didn't look like he was behaving.

"...ehh...heheh...." he reached a paw up and started padding the lime green bangs back down.

Kisoni:
Nyota sighed. He knew better that to expect any of this litter to behave, really. He'd had it easy when he was raising misae--and no matter how much Ari looked like her adopted sister, the personalities were complete opposites. "Mhm.. i'm sure you are. You two get down to the waterhole for your morning drinks. We're gonna move a little further upstream before we take our nap."

"Yes daddy!!" Ari piped. She knew better than to loiter, and began the run. The girl only paused to shove her shoulder into Koda and make him get up and follow her. "Come on! I bet I can beat you!"

Thalion:
Koda was busy inspecting his tail when he was bumped into. It caught him off guard and sent him down to his side. "Wha!?" He watched her scamper ahead and got to his own paws.

"Hey! That's cheating!" He protested as the cub broke into a clumsy run.

Kisoni:
"Is not!" She called, sticking her tongue out over her shoulder. The girl was probably more 'boyish' than her brothers, save possibly her twin, and the absolute opposite of what people had thought she'd be when she was born. Despite the fact that she looked as her mother incarnate, she shared as much in common with the silent wolf as she did with the wind's child. It was unnerving to think of what the clan would be like one day, under Ari's leadership. "Come on, Koda! You can catch up!"

Thalion:
"I'm just pacing myself!" He insisted, already panting. He could run -fast- but not for very long. Something he was determined to work on.

Eventually, the cub was reduced to a loping jog, his tongue hanging out the the corner of his mouth, and his small chest heaving. "I'm...pacing...."

Kisoni:
"You're slow!" The girl replied. Unlike her brother she'd not sacraficed her breath for speed, and it helped her out in the long run. Not that the girl had done it intentionally.. she just hadn't cared as much about winning as she'd let on. From experience, that always seemed to drive her brothers into tiring themselves out so she could win. The girl smirked as she came up to the waterhole a few seconds before he did. "Haha! I beat you!"

Thalion:
Koda smirked as she neared the water's edge. "So you did! Good job, you're so strong and smart....." He picked up his speed just moments before he too joined her at the water side. With a long upward leap, he balled himself up and fell back into the water. The result would be the both of them drenched in water and slapped in mud. If anything, jumping was his talent.

"And ooh so wet."

Kisoni:
"EE!!" The girl squealed as the wave of water met her face. She shook her head to clear the water out, but she was soaked. "KODAA!" The girl yelped, then ran after him, splashing the whole way. "i'm gonna get you!"

Thalion:
The girl laughed and spent a large splash towards her brother.
Koda laughed and got himself back to his paws. On the defense then! He ran himself towards the deeper water, catching a splash to the back of his head. Not that he minded. At least now his mane would tame down again. "If you can catch me!"

Kisoni:
Ari frowned. Where was he going? He wasn't. "KODA!" She frowned, running after him but not to catch him. .. exactly, anyway, "Not the deep water!"

Thalion:
"Oohhh.....", Koda paused as the water lapped against his chest, "Are you afraaaaid? Huh? Afraid of a little water?"

Kisoni:
"uhhh... k-koda." Ari stopped in the water.

Thalion:
"You're afraid!" He laughed and turned to look at the 'deep part'. It didn't look so tough. "I bet I can get to that rock over there." He pointed out to a large boulder peeking out of the water- just two yards out but still quite the distance for a cub.

Kisoni:
"uh..."

"ARI! NOKODA! GET THE HELL OUT OF THAT WATER!" Their father roared from the top of the hill. He was running down towards them, looking furious, but Ari was already scrambling out of the water.

The crocodile in the deep water began to surface, beady eyes on Koda.

Thalion:
Koda glanced to his father and frowned, why was he.... it was then that he noted the two eyes looking back his way. "AHHH! IT'S GONNA EAT ME!" He leapt upwards once more and turned himself in mid-air, kind of a clumsy move that sent him face down in the water. A heartbeat later he clawed himself forward and ran up onto the bank, but it didn't seem he was ready to stop there. The brown cub ran until he was hidden behind one of his father's paws.

Kisoni:
The crocodile snapped its jaws shut, but it barely managed to get a hair or two before the cub was gone. On the shore, Nyota had skid to a halt when his son came running up into him. The daughter, wet as she was, soon joined Koda and he had two shivering cubs under paw. "How many times have I got to tell you two do not go into the water?" Nyota practically growled. He tried holding his temper, though.. they were only cubs, after all... and he should have known better than to send them down to the water hole unaccompanied. The male sat down and gathered the two clsoer to his chest.

Ari cuddled against her darker brother and their father's stomache alike. Underneath his bulk and hidden by his mane it was warm, for the day still hadn't risen to its full heat. "S-sorry daddy," She whispered and nuzzled Koda. "we dinnit mean no harm."

"I know... i know."

Thalion:
Koda was shaking by then, both his paws were wrapped around his father's leg as he starred wide-eyed at the monster that had surfaced from the water. He had almost died! It had come out of no where.

"I...I....", he started, but it was no good. Whatever that -thing- was had him babbling like an idiot. The cub buried his face into his father's fur and whimpered, he'd not cry. Not in front of a girl.

Kisoni:
Nyota raised one paw and rubbed his son's back. The girl cuddled closer to him and tried to purr some. She was scared, but Koda seemed more scared, so she tried to fight back her own fears.. for his sake. The trio of them lapsed into silence while Koda got himself together.
