Deck Series: A City United
Yu-gi-oh Adv. Format

User Image

I've been playing around with my E-heroes recently, tweaking my deck around trying to Balance out a Transforming Side Deck that would let me play either a Rainbow Neos or Evil Hero Deck. It has taken me a few weeks of careful tinkering but I feel I've made some decent progress.

As a side Note, I have built these decks to include the E-Hero Cards Woodsman and Terra Firma. Both of these cards are available in Japan only, as of this post. I am holding onto hope that one day they will be released in English. Until then I have reserved a spot for them on the roster.

As always, I appreciate any feedback, comments or suggestions I can get. I am planning a trip to Gen Con Indy this Summer, and if they have Yugioh players there, this is the Deck I want to use. So if anyone has any tips to help me get these decks ready to face the world, I'd love to hear'em!

Thanks for taking the time to look them over.

Deck 1: Core City (40)[42]

Headliner(s): Vice and Darkbight.

Strategy: Core City, and both its Alterations, are based off the Big City strategy (hence the names). For those that don't know, the Big City strategy revolves around the cards: Stratos, Ocean, and Skyscraper 2 - Hero City. One of my non-fusion monsters destroyed by battle can be SS with Hero City each turn, helping to maintain field presence. Along with E-Emergency Call and Hero Signal, Stratos helps me Mill necessary Fusion Materials from my deck. Using Ocean I can either pull Fusion Material out of my grave or Pop Stratos off the Field so I can use his effect over and over.

A major weakness of this deck seems to be high-def monsters (D-Hero Defender stressed ), so I have included Shining Flare Wingman, for late game Power! Wildedge is mainly a counter for Swarm Decks like 6 Samurai. In the Original Deck I used 2 Dark Bribes instead of 2 Security Orbs, however I have not been able to win any Dark Bribes off eBay, and I'm trying not to spend too much money on them if I can help it.

Headliner(s): Rainbow Neos

Strategy: Welcome to Prism City, I think this is my favorite deck right now. This Deck is a Slight alteration of Core City, geared toward summoning Rainbow Neos, with Vice and Darkbright as back up! I added Mole and Grad Neos to this Deck because they are my favorite Neo-Spacians. Unfortuntly without Neospace, summoning Grand Neos is very risky. I usually don't attempt it, However I do like to use Grand Neos when I'm triggering Prisma's effect, I show it to my opponent instead of Rainbow Neos. Might not fool everyone, but there could be a few people out there that wouldn't catch on, meh. I played various versions of this deck for a few months, and I was scream NEVER able to summon Rainbow Neos... The night I added Prisma to this deck I dueled 4 times, summoned him every single duel! I have Forsaken Linkin Park, Prisma is my new Jesus!

Headliner(s): Lightning Golem, Wild Cyclone

Strategy: First off, I want to say that I have never tested this deck, Balance City has been built based on theory only. That said, I am attempting to build this deck with the intention that it can be used as a partner deck to compliment an all Evil Hero themed deck. We plan to share Material to summon Wild Cyclone and Lightning Golem. On his End I think hes going to focus on Malicious Edge and Fiend, maybe Dark Gaia. I don't know if he is going to include any E-Heroes or just go all Evil, we are still working out the details. I May end up needing to include Other Cards for the final Tag Variation, such as Scapegoat and Ojama Trio to support my Tag Partner's monsters.

As far as Stand Alone play goes, I plan to focus on Cyclone and Golem, as well as Vice and Darkbright. Wild Wingman's and Infernal Sniper's Job is basically to counter Stall and Burn decks. While I personally think Tempest's ability is terrible, I just think he's cool, so I wanted to put him in here. I have just barely enough Materials to Summon Electrum with Miracle Fusion, so I put him in to recycle any of my RFG monsters.
