Mvushi yawned as he moved along the boarders of the pride, though he did not go too close to the edge. He knew if he was caught avoiding work he would be in trouble, but he was feeling especially tired and just needed a break. Of course, he should have just headed for the shady tree if that was the case. He did not want to run into whats her name, he felt uncomfortable around the slaves. His fellow slaves, he was often reminded. He tried to get past that he was better than them, but he could not.
He stretched his limbs a little as he slowly sat, cleaning a paw as his eyes flicked toward the center area of the pride, keeping an eye out for any of the higher-ups.

Sindain peered out through the brush, watching those pride members she could see. She didn't know how hostile this pride was, but in any event, she needed to find some support. It was getting harder everyday to support herself, and she was hoping she could find herself a family... a home. Watching carefully, she saw one lion that looked a little out of place. He was skulking around what she had sniffed out to be somewhere around the border, and looking around as if he had done something wrong. Thinking this would probably be the best time to initiate contact, she stepped out beside the brush to make herself seen.

Just as he was looking around his fushia gaze landed on a green lioness, one he did not think belonged in the lands. His lip curled as he watched her a moment, tail flicking. Leave her be or stir up a little trouble?
He was more in the trouble making mood, anyways. "What are you doing in these lands, girl?" He growled out, his voice strong and slightly angry. He sat still though, only trying to intimidate her.

A little taken aback at his sudden confidence, she debated whether she was going to be forceful, or submissive. She decided on something a little in between. She stood tall, and faced him squarely, with her ears turned back ever so slightly.
"I'm Sindain. I come looking for a home." She didn't feel the need to elaborate, she just wanted to get him an honest answer quickly.

He raised one brow and his head tilted a little as he watched her skeptically. Well, that was boring. She didn't seem very afraid of him and it made him sigh a little moodily as he looked away from her and began to rise. Sindain... he shook his head lightly and started to head back toward the pride.
"A home here? Don't know why anyone would so easily put their fate in the hands of the moon." He muttered, more to himself than to her. "Talking to the wrong lion here, kid. I'm but a servant, nothing more." So what could he tell her about living here? He could only bring up his past life, and he wasn't willing to do that just yet.

She sighed in dissappointement. She had hoped he might have been a little more helpful. he did seem somewhat willing to converse with her though. "What do you mean by in the hands of the moon?" she asked.

He just snorted lightly and glanced back at her. She wanted to join a pride she knew nothing about? Or perhaps she was just trying to learn about the pride so she could explore her options.
He didn't really know if he should be telling her about the pride, if he was allowed to speak to strangers. He looked away as his eyes widened a little at his own thoughts and his lip curled in disgust for himself. Now he was already starting to think like a slave... pitiful.
"In these lands our destinies are made from the moon. The Great Lion, rather." His tone had taken on a funny tone, almost sarcastic, maybe a bit bitter and slightly guilty sounding. Did he believe in the Great Lion still? He had been delt such a cruel hand since Denge's apperance.. "The position of the moon is important from birth, it depicts wether you fall into the fate of a slave; endlessly serving those above you, or if you are favored and become something more... a lord or lady, perhaps." His tail flicked, he felt a little irritated speaking about this, if only because it was not just the moon that controlled his fate. He'd made poor choices, and now he was stuck where he'd asked to be. He'd gone against the Great Lion's wishes by marrying a Slave... but it couldn't have been helped. The curse of hind sight!

She cocked her head to the side. It was a little odd that your social status was dependent on the moon, but it was something she thought she might be able to accept. It was a new and interesting concept to her.
She noticed that he was a little agitated as he was explaining this to her. It was marked by the constant flicking of his tail and a somewhat angry tone in his voice. She moved a bi closer and sat down. "You don't sound like you're too happy with the way things are done." She didn't ask him why, so as not to offend him, but hoped he would tell her.

He sighed and slowed his walk as she continued to speak, pointing out something completely obvious. He glanced at her with one eyebrow raised, as if to show her that he thought nothing of her question, just because he knew she knew the answer.
His tail flicked and he sighed, shaking his head. "Things around here..." He trailed off though, not daring to finish the thought. He looked back toward the center of the pride. "If you want to look fondly upon this place it is best you speak to one who is not stuck in slavedom." He muttered softly as he started to stalk away.

"Slavedom?" She cringed at that. It must be awful to be in a situation like that. Looking at him as he walked away, he seemed like a stong, proud lion. He didn't look like a slave to her. "Thank you for your help... " she called out to him, realizing that she hadn't received his name. Hopefully I'll see you around...

Mvushi did not bother replying to her parting words, he was proud and did not like strangers. He did not really like anyone, it seemed these days. Slave or higher lion alike, he avoided them all. Rogue or pride member...
If only there was someone who'd pray to the great eye for him... yet he had no one.
