It has a solid enough Defense and Sp. Attack to put it in the OU teir, but its lacking Sp. Def due to being both Steel and Electric make it so a Sp. Fighting move, such as Aura Sphere, can take it down in 2 hits, 3 if used by a non-sweeper.

Magnezone is amazing for trapping and KOing Skarmory (often its main purpose on a team), and for the occasional special sweep. Its most striking weakness is that 4x weakness to ground it has. Any Pokemon with Earthquake can finish it off in one hit. Dugtrio is a good counter for Magnezone, as Duggy has a STAB Earthquake to OHKO Magnezone with, is fast, and is immune to Magnezone's powerful Electric-type attacks because of its Ground typing.

In less battle-related issues, it kinda looks like a flying saucer. Maybe it should go around abducting Miltanks... Not my joke, but whatever.

Magnezone is alright. Godly Sp. Attack, decent Defense, but it's 4x weak to Ground, pretty much always and OHKO. However if it manages to pull off a Magnet Rise, thats a different story.....

That was with Probopass, though, and it turns out you were right. (Check its tier if you wish, it's in UU)

Smogon can take their elitist attitude and shove it.
Then again, they do offer good advice, and if all you do is lurk, you can't break any rules. ninja They're conceited, but at least they're not dumb at the same time.

My point was that there's no use in using probopass when one of the most common attacks in the game 1HKOs it. Also, Close Combat will too.

The abundance of Heracross, Tyranitar and Garchomp in OU and Probo's lack of offensive capability saw to its UU placing. Steel isn't great as an attacking type, end of question.

It's quite obvious, too, as you mentioned.

I honestly can't really get myself to play pokemon since not using Garchomp (among others, but mainly this mofo), or failing to ensure your team can counter it puts yourself at a disadvantage -_-
