Zombie Question

So I've heard the whole "Zombies have the need to feed" line, but I'm wondering. Why don't the zombies EVER attack each other and feed off of each other? In every zombie movie I've seen they would rather try to storm a fortified position and try to get the non zombies rather than just attack each other. :-/

the zombie survival guide says they dont have to eat.
my guess would be that they are wired only to eat living flesh, as eating zombies wouldn't kill people. or something.

It's kind of a hive mind syndrome I'd suppose. The zombie doesn't feel the need to eat each other, because they don't really view each other as prey, or threats, or whatever.

Well, they always make the point that they feed off of living tissue in order to either sustain or mutate.
Mutating is the case for the head hunters or 'lickers' if you prefer, perhaps for the Crimson Heads as well.

Hmm, I suppose the zombies could be seen as the borg.
