Salamu Alaykum brothers and sisters! I'm an Arab Muslima and very proud of it! I just thought that maybe I, seeing as how no1 has so far, should start an Islamic discussion?

Okay, so as we all know there is a large amount of Muslims living in America and being in an environment in which many people are extremely different then we are and that have different morals and beliefs, I feel that many young Muslims (Boys and Girls) have a difficulty when it comes to understanding what is right and wrong in Islam. For example, in Islam a woman is not allowed to shake hands with men/boys, yet being in school girls see boys and girls greet one another with hugs. So eventually they begin to grow accustomed to doing the same. This is just one example, I am pretty sure there are plenty of examples of how many young Muslims today neglect to better understand their religion and pretty much act just like kafirs. So lets discuss how we feel about this subject. I'd like to hear what u all think.
