The Belgariad by David Eddings

Who all has read this classic?

I've read the Mallorean, but not the Belgariad. I hope to go back and do so someday if I can get the time.

I have read both Belgariad and Mallorean, and I love them biggrin I want to read the other books around Balgariad and Mallorean, I just don't know their names in English.

The Belgariad and the Mallorean are books I reread. I like Eddings. I would reccommend The Redemption of Althalus as another Eddings book that I have really enjoyed.

I've read The Redemption of Althalus and loved it. And gave it to a freind. We both love the snarkyness of Althalus. Is that the same tone in his other books?

Those were my favourite books for a long loooong time. I can`t even tell how many times I`ve re-read every single one of them them. And I still love reading them from time to time.
I read his Tamuli and Elenium- Sagas too... and Althalus of course. Loved them too!

I have read the Belgariad, the Mallorean and a few others, plus Redemption of Athalus. I do love the books, but my only problem is that the Mallorean is just extending the Belgariad even further but still using the same exact story.

Whatever happens in the Belgariad, happens in the Mallorean, but with different characteristics. Which ended up irking me a bit.

David Eddings has great, and very well developed characters, but uses the same basis for all his works. And don't get me wrong, I love those characters, but if you read them straight through, you notice it, and then it just becomes you reading the same book with a different title.

Just an opinion... Sorry if I hurt anyones feelings/hero worshipfullness..

I loved it the first time I read it!!!! I've read at least five times the whole way through, I'm so obsesed I even bought the audiobook on Itunes and listen to it all the time when I'm going somewhere dull or far away. The Mallorean was awesome also, I want to know if Polgara's twins are boys, girls or one of each!

I've read both the Belgariad and the Elenium, as well as the Elder Gods quartet. Oh, and I've also read Regina's Song - a sort of psychological thriller that he did. It was good too.
