Walls are flashing red... uh, help?

So I just installed Sims 2 and for some reason, all of the walls in the game, no matter where I go, have turned into what I've affectionately nicknamed 'disco walls'. The walls continually flash different shades of red and I don't know what could be causing it-- would it be my graphics card or the game itself? I have not installed any mods or hacks that might be doing this.

This is a graphics card issue. I first saw it reported when Family Fun stuff was released. All you can do to solve it is to either update your graphics drivers or by a new graphics card.
