Families not showing up in Bin

Have you tried what happens when you move them into a lot?

It could be something to do with your thumbnail preview file.
Its at times like this that I suggest consulting the help section of MTS2.

When I move them into a lot, they don't show up in the lot preview thing in the neighborhood.
[When you click on a house and the preview pops up with their bio, etc.]

I was wondering; do you think it could be that I play the game in windowed mode?

I play the game in windowed mode and my families show up fine.

It honestly sounds like you thumbnail files may have been corrupted.
