I think it's CUTE! It can't all be based on the book, (I love twilight but it'd be a boring movie with all of Bella's ramblings.) and its not like they are changing Edward's identity in that one line.
The movie also has to sort of predict what Edward is thinking cause its coming out BEFORE MIDNIGHT SUN (Edwards perspective). And if they make the movie in only Bella's perspective and then Midnight Sun comes out the movie can't be RE-MADE to suit his perspective (Even if in my own mind I wish it could be).
They have to make it fit, stop complaining already. Complain once its out and everyone's seen it! Any's its BASED on the book. We all won't be happy, just go to the movie and pretend you haven't read the book and then judge it based on ENTERTAINMENT value.

It's to fluffy, nothing like Edward say in the book.

But this is the movie, Summit and Catherine wanted this movie to also please non-readers. So they make the Cullens, in this case, Edward, more relatable.

Even though it was VERY non Edward, I thought it was funny. lol. Lighten up.

To A Dazzling Edward Cullen: Edward has lived as a vampire for 100 years. He's seen some things and there's nothing from with TRYING to stay a little current no matter how cheesy it is. lol.

To MusicGNote: A lot of things in the movie are not going to be from the book. Get over it or don't see the movie because you might be HIGHLY dissapointed. ^_^
