I can't really decide. The first time I read the books I would've said Edward, because my friend had been telling me all about the story before I read them, and she had me convinced that everything was perfect between Edward and Bella until Jacob had to come along and make everything complicated. But after rereading the books, I've started to like Jacob a lot more. But I still like Edward; I can't really decide. However, it started to annoy me in Eclipse how Edward would make Alice "kidnap" Bella to keep her from going to see Jacob; he seemed too controlling in that book. But I can't really say Jacob, because I still like Edward, too. I would probably be as confused as Bella was at first about who to choose; I'm not really sure who I would choose.
This isn't the only factor I would consider in choosing, but I would also have to think about the immortality thing. If I became a vampire with Edward, living forever would be nice, but it would be hard to see all the humans I cared about dying, and not being able to see my friends and family anymore because I couldn't tell them why I never aged. And staying human and being with Edward would be just as bad, because I would still age but he wouldn't. But with Jacob, we could have a fairly normal life, after he started to age normally.
Of course, who I loved most would be the main thing I would think about though; I'd just have to consider all of that too.

I'm a team Edward supporter, though Jacob really redeemed himself in Breaking Dawn, his impulsive and slightly patient attitude grates on my nerves a little.

i've switched so many times.... lol. at first i was team edward. then in new moon when he left i thought he was a b*****d and then was team jacob. but then jacob started getting alittle obnoxious so i was neutral. i was neutral until breaking dawn. then i was edward again. then jacob. now im seth. lol

I love Edward, because he is the perfect boyfriend (in my friend Chelsea's point of view) but I hate him because of what he said about werewolves. I love Jacob, because Jacob lets Bella have fun. But, what I didn't like about Jacob is the way he kissed Bella like he did in Eclipse. It really was uneccesary, and I thought it was not the appropriate thing to do. I know he's a teenager, but, he should have known better than to kiss Bella like that if he loves her.yeah i have to agree with you. i think im team switzerland. yes, jacob should have known better.

Hmmm....
It'd be a really hard decision if I was put into Bella's situation. I mean, Edward is the whole package...but he lacks stuff. He's also very controlling, which could be good in moderation, and stubborn. I mean he's gorgeous, but looks aren't everything. He has a good personality, but if I were to stay human with him it would NOT work out....so that's when I would choose Jacob.
Jacob is handsome, but ignorant and young...but he's warm =) haha. And if I were to stay human, we would grow old together and could have children. But because he is young, he doesn't have all the same common sense as Edward...so that brings me back to Edward.
But to justify my answer, I'd have to say Jacob, I suppose. He's just a perfect human being...with a little extra werewolfness. Haha.

But seriously, I'd choose Edward for myself, because I love very romantic, charming people. And I don't like how rude Jacob is, it irritates me to this day. It seems like you could rely on Edward more as well.
