"What?" Clearly dazzled by his choice of words, the lioness's eyes fell down to the ground. Hisia was truly in love with him, and with blurting his own feelings towards her, she knew he loved her. She couldn't deny how fast she had fallen for him, him and his little group had come out of no where, and when she first glanced at him: She knew she was looking at in angel, and one she'd do anything to claim his love.

Hisia chuckled lightly. "So... How would go about proving I love you, without saying the words?" A tilt of her head, a smile on her face, Hisia looked genuinely stupid. Completely unaware that her words could lead to something else, the lioness just flicked her tail casually.

Samahani sighed and spread his wings, suddenly flying lowly. There was a glare visible on his face. He wasn't interested in their game of cat and mouse, and the conversation was going too far.

Hisia, on the other hand, did not notice her companion fly away. Eyes only on Msiba's handsome face, she stood up and stretched, letting out a yawn. "Or we could... try getting some sleep?" Her tail pointed to the sun, which was almost losing it's light across the valley.

Sleep would be nice, she thought.

He shook his head. "I don't know," He said with a grin. "When you feel it, you just... know." He had never before experienced love, nor did he have any experience with it. What he knew, he had heard from others. He had little idea how dependable his information was, but he knew Hisia was new to this. So it would do, for now.

It's just part of the job. He thought to himself, as he gazed at her. She was actually quite cute, he decided upon hearing her next words. How could one go about proving love without words? Well he knew the answer to that one. He fought to hold back a chuckle, instead focusing an intense gaze into her bright eyes.

He had just about mastered his urge to smile when she spoke again. Sleep? Oh, the irony of it. She really didn't know. He would almost feel bad if he took advantage of that. Almost.

He followed her tail's point into the setting sun. Maybe it wasn't the best... WHATEVER! His thoughts screamed in his head. Do things first, ask questions later. Circle of life, and all that junk. Besides, Mchawi wouldn't miss him terribly in one night. She might worry, but he would find her again at the break of dawn and put an end to that.

"Sleep sounds good," He agreed finally, noticing suddenly that Hisia's bird had gone, and that Werevu was just about to take off. Obviously, the vulture, too, had lost all interest.

"Just," He paused, wondering how to phrase his thoughts without them sounding too suspicious. "Do you... think you could keep this... between us? For now, at least. You know, some members of the pride, they don't like us or trust us completely yet, and... I worry this might, you know, make that worse."

Plus, he thought, he had to keep on charming the rest of the pride. He couldn't very well do that, if all the other lionesses thought there was a relationship between himself and Hisia.

Her smile widened, the lioness starting to pad away across the scattered rocks. Hisia was starting to feel tired every waking moment. It wasn't surprising, since she had mourned for the lost. Without knowing how her sister was doing, she had started to to worry more and more. Learning that her sister was dead was an even crueler blow. She had kept herself from screaming, though had come close not too long ago with Msiba's presence.

Her tail flicked about, signaling for him to follow her. She needed someone in her presence for, at least, tonight. After that she would be fine, still a little sad probably, but would be a bit better. The thought of keeping their relationship suddenly worried her. Hisia did not know how the others would think of her falling for the leader of the strange group, who had come out of no where with companions of their own.

The thought left several questioning forming in her mind. They would probably think she was disloyal... Hisia gritted her teeth. She was not disloyal... Not at all. She would protect the pride with all her strength. No one could say she was disloyal.

Settling in a clearing, sheltered by other rocks which had fallen from the past earthquake, she eyed Msiba eagerly. "Well... Good night." And proceeded to close her eyes, hoping to drag those horrid thoughts down into her sleep. They would not plague her tonight, not to tonight.

With Msiba...

There was an aura of sadness hanging about her, he realized as he followed, slightly behind her. Of mourning, of a sort of absence within her that only time itself would heal. After all, her sister was dead. Msiba tried to imagine, tried to put himself in her shoes. What if it was Mchawi? He would be absolutely devastated, and no amount of talking would convince him otherwise.

What she wanted, and needed, was simply a presence. Simply for someone to be there. That, he decided, he would be. Forget that he was using her for his own purposes. Forget all that. He would be there if for no other reason than for the fact that he knew that if he had been Hisia, the last thing he would need was anything other than that warm body nearby.

He paused at the mouth of the clearing. He could still see that sadness behind her eyes as she gazed at him, that would still be there, no matter how many lions confessed their love to her. Only time would take that all away.

With a small smile, he nodded at her. Closed eyes, seeking sleep. He made his way forward, leaning down and gently nuzzling the top of her head as he passed, and settled down beside. He curled his tail around him, arranging himself so that his shoulder pressed gently against Hisia's, and laid his nose on the ground. For a while, he simply lay and watched her, wondering just how much the lioness could worry for her pride. Then he, too, shut his eyes.

Tomorrow would be a new day.
