"Inspiration!" Ally cried brightly, "That's the word! When we know, we'll know. Maybe if we do enough, someone else will come up with something perfect, even. Maybe we'll earn a name." She nodded seriously and then glanced around them.
"Where should we start?"

Wow, that sounded just right; earning a name - that had to be what all the great heroes of history had done too, right? It certainly seemed more plausible than her earlier scenario of voting for one, that was for sure.
"Maybe we should start like, small. We could, uhh.." She glanced around, hoping for some of that elusive inspiration: "Help out our elders?" She was preeeetty sure she'd heard mommy mentioning that that was a good thing to do.

"Our elders?" she repeated thoughtfully, "Like the oldest lions or just our parents? I don't know many really old lions in the pride. There's that.. um, old slave." Ally paused, she couldn't remember his name at the moment. She could remember seeing him, he stuck out in her mind because he was so old, but that was it.
"Let's go see if we can find someone to help!" Ally said finally, shrugging off the idea of hunting down the old slave for now and hopping to get looking.

"Umm, I don't know?" Ukene hadn't really been out and about much yet, honestly, and the idea of someone being older than her Mom - definitely the oldest, wisest, bestest mommy in the whole pride! - was still a bit baffling to her young mind. Really, anyone older than her was considered old. It was a broad definition.
"Okay!" But she was ready to defer to Ally's better judgement, trusting that her new friend would know best.
