Like a resume for a job. Even thought Renesmee has an n in it. It still sounds like it. Now I feel sorry for the child. :[

Haha, you're right it kind of does.

I feel bad for Renesmee because they all call her Nessie.

ha. it does.
and resume rolls off the tougue better
than renesmee.

i never really thought her name could have
been better. the only think i found cute was
her middle name.

i mean, come on! who sits there and names
their kid after every single grandparent.

she loves them. i get it. but seriously?!

renee and esme?
then Carlisle and charlie?

Yes, it's a made up name that you won't be able to find in any baby books at all. [i bet some girls who've read breaking dawn are going to name some of their daughters renesemee.]

I am sure Stephenie had fun playing around with it. She even said her self that Renesemee's name was always Renesemee. I love how she had the name chosen before New Moon was even written. :]

Yeah, I really didn't appreciate "Nessie." Like Bella's first reaction, I was angry that they were nicknaming her after the Loch Ness Monster. It's too bad she didn't stay that way since it grew on her so much. I know alot of parents name their children and don't like it when the names are shortened just because people are lazy. Gwendolyn becomes Gwen, Jennifer becomes Jen, etc. It's ridiculous and I know people who actually take offense to that because that's not their name, you know? Anyways...

I don't think that combining two names makes it unique... I mean, I'm sure no one in their right mind would want to name their daughter that... but it does give the kid some character. As for me, I don't find it particularly creative. I wouldn't just combine my mother's and my mother-in-law's names together when I name my daughter. I do like her middle name, though. That name also has character in it and could have easily been her first name. I mean, after all, Bella was living with her father when she met Edward and Carlisle was the only one who she could have a heart-to-heart with about different things such as her turning into a vampire (or when she cut herself at the birthday party).
