At this point eva has been remade so many times should a live action movie even matter that much? i mean there is the show the manga, a play, video games, books, Angelic days, shinji Ikari raising project,Neon Genesis Evangelion: Gakuen Datenroku, and movies.

it has been remade already...a live action would only add to the world of Eva, maybe add to the complexity of Eva not take away from it.

Nopes. I sincerely doubt that they'll manage to add much of anything. I just maintain it was *done* right. If they try to do the end stuff they will also have a very violent movie on their hands. Just on that prospect alone they'd have to go for a milder rating, I'd be shocked if they went for an R, PG13 at most, and that means neutering right there.

Anyway, we are so far off the topic of Ghost...

The Major is sexy. yeah... I don't think there is a female actress around who could play her in a live version though... least no one comes to mind...

Amen to that one brotha... She is a Japanese version of her. BUUUUT... her little "friends" are even better looking personally.

But this isn't about sex. It is about the Anime. Now... Okay... SOOOOO.... why did the mechanics originally blame the natural oil when the Tachkomas started to become self aware and making a collective conscientiousness?

I think it was more or less that their AI was growing/adapting/evolving, and the mechanics couldn't figure out why. So they blamed it on something foreign, something they couldn't control: the natural oil base. Since natural oil comes from an organic base millions of years old, it can become corrupted by the passage of time.
Synthetic oil, on the other hand, is in a controlled environment from start to finish. Nothing there to be tampered with.

AT least, that's what I figure they figured. I still go by the evolving AI theory more than the oil-type theory.

But Mae... here is the thing. Battou's personal Tachikoma ran way more efficiently and was the first to become self-aware. That is why I even ask, COULD it be the natural oil that sped things around? That Tachikoma, was the first to develop Love... remember that.

That is exactly my point Mae... That Tachikoma, who had natural oil, developed feelings first and self awareness. Even though they blamed it SOLELY on the natural oil, I wonder if it DID play SOME role with bond formation. As in the feeling of that oil represented a bond between man and machine.
