I was just thinking of how someone could make a 12 or 20 ga. revolver earlier today. I dare you not to s**t yourself if that was pointed at you.

I think your standard 12 gauge slug's 0.729.
The 12g weighs less, and is going significantly slower, though.

.50 BMG is slightly heavier, and is going considerably faster, at least, out of a rifle barrel.
I don't know about how the slower burning powder would work in a handgun length barrel, but I'm sure faster burning powders could be handloaded.
