Psych vs. Mentalist

Have any of you seen Psych? About this make-believe psychic who works for as an informant for the cops. In reality, he's just really observant.

Now, there's this new show coming on sometime this month I think--Mentalist. In the commercial, the guy says something like, "I'm not a psychic. There's no such thing as psychics. I just happen to be very observant."

For anyone who's seen Psych, is that not the same frickin premiss? Can you say, "Rip off"? confused

Me neither. It's okay to watch from time to time, but he's just way too annoying. I can't believe they buy into his bull.

One guy is serious while the other guy is a clown ?... STILL A RIP OFF. I am a major fan of Psych. Love the chemistry between Shawn and Gus. I guess I would rather have a good laugh rofl with Psych then have a serious guy who is playing fake psychic talk2hand .

i've never seen the other show, so i can't really have a say here, but i absolutely love psche. everyone's got a clown inside, and i love how he can use it and still not get found out. it's a good show.

Psych is funny and I have not seen The Mentalist, but it sounds like a rip off.

I love Psych and Mentalist is a very good show. If you are comparing it too psych that is a whole diferent show

A.b. Farmer: I was comparing just the basis/premiss of the shows cause the Mentalist had yet to air, but after having seen it, I do prefer it to Psyche. Gus is made out to look like a lackey all the time and that kinda irks me. I like Simon Baker's character much better. Plus, he's a cutie.
