Haramu was enjoying a moment of respite...She just sat, her mind clear of everything but the sounds of the night around her. The activities of the cubs, the wind through the grasses, the sounds of mice and bugs and lizards skittering on the earth. She stared at the volcano that dominated the eastern horizon, the moon peeking out from behind it. Surely, there was no sight more beautiful...
And no sight that reminded her more that she was finally home. That this land was where she belonged, where she was needed. She would prove her worth...prove her paler colors did not hinder her demonic soul at all. Haramu sat tall, and smiled slightly. Yes...

Morifaer was coming down from his perch. He'd emerged from his volcanic sanctuary, out onto the mountainside, and from that rocky edge he'd taken wing, soaring across the moon like some great, devilish bird from nightmare come to steal one's dreams away and give horrors in their place. He too, was at home here, in this pride that he'd been instrumental in the creation of. Morifaer was not one to get directly involved if he did not wish to, he preferred the title of puppet-master, and he exemplified it beautifully.
But today...well, time to enter the pride that he called home, time to see those who followed the teachings laid out by Morifaer and Sparda. Though almost less the latter. Slowly, he circled once, before landing on the grass, spreading wings and rolling his shoulders, extending forelegs and digging great furrows in the ground with his claws, he threw his whole body into a slow, wondrous stretch, one that he finished with a pleased rumble. "I really should get out more often..."

A flicker of shadow across the moon made the lioness frown. Strange...she'd never seen birds fly in a formation like that...And it had appeared to be one entity, not the many of a flock. Her eyes caught the shadow again, this time circling to land. On guard and determined to find out what this stranger was, Haramu stalked forward, eyes narrowed.
She neared in time to hear the shadow speak, and the words confused her. Alright...obviously male, and lion-like.
She dropped pretense and stood, not bothering to hide anymore. "Who are you?" Despite her size, her voice held the strength of someone long used to the power beneath their frame.

Oh well well well, what was this? Elfin ears perked, and he canted head to one side, eyeing this tiny lioness. What a pretty little girl, a pale and red creature, just what was she doing all the way out here? She didn't seem to fear him more than any of the others did, and yet she had to ask the question...well, that put her in a sort of limbo in his mind, he supposed.
"That would depend entirely, on who you are." Flashing her a toothy grin. "But other than a dark harbinger of imminent doom, I am most commonly known as Morifaer, God of Demons, schemer, manipulator, and otherwise interesting and immortal." Quite clearly there was a teasing, almost musical lilt to his voice. He hadn't come out here if he was not to have fun, after all.
"So then, little lass, grace me with your name?" Blue eyes flashed with inner mirth, curious to see how she'd react. He did not always have to be dark, looming and majestic, really now...he was a creature of beauty also, flip side to his demonic domain.

Ah! Well then! She gave him a slight smile and bowed. "So you are Morifaer. It is an honor to meet you." After all, he WAS the god of demons. While Sparda held sway over the codes of conduct she followed, the god before her held sway over the dark soul that was within her.
"I am Haramu-chanua, a tsafare of the Aikanaro'hini pride, for that is where the pride sees me most useful at current." There was no trace of regret or ambition in that statement...it was just a statement. She knew she would one day be more...but for now, she was what the pride needed.
