Note the giant uhm... thing that shouldn't be there.

Also, in neighborhood view my sims have no walls (only houses I've played).
And when I click a playable house there are no sims in the display thingy, even when it's loading the house.

My video card hates me.

And I can't afford a new one crying

That definately looks like a graphic card issue. Have you had a look to see if there are any driver updates for your card?

I don't really know that updating it would help.

I had to turn the graphics to the lowest settings.
Every time I tried to play it'd go the blue screen.


That house seemed to have fixed itself somehow.
It has walls again in neighborhood view and you can see the family.

Had the EXACT problem. I upgraded to the NVIDIA 8 series and it works like a dream. Be certain you update your directx to the appropriate newest release as well.
