It's just a stock 10/22. Nothing fancy or tuned.

From what I've seen, a quality scope is going to run me anywhere from a low of $65 up to $115 with tax for a nice Nikon.

Don't really know all that much about current mid range rimfire scopes.

Ideas? Links?

I've bought two scopes in my day. One of them was a $400 EOTech, the other was an $8 Daisy. I think I got what I paid for in both cases, but the Daisy still works well enough for my Winchester 190. It was well worth $8. If you just want something to aim with so you can shoot s**t like tin cans or steel plates, I'd go cheap. If you want to hunt or have a good degree of accuracy, you might want to look towards the $50+ range.

Yes, that's what I have in mind!

Thanks. Jotted down the make and model. Now to shop it around!

It's what I have for my Ruger. However, I should suggest investing in the aluminum rail as well. With the regular plastic rail the scope rings and screws become loose.

Edit: Is it just me or is the coding for this post not being accepted?

That happens to me a lot on Gaia.

My 10/22 came with an aluminum scope rail. It's an oldie but goodie.

Do you know where I could find one?

eBay auction listing

From the looks of things, you can buy them dirt cheap on eBay. This one is priced at $7.99!

Keep in mind that the 10/22 is one of the most tweaked guns out there. There are so many surplus factory parts left over, you can build them out of parts bin leftovers.

CheaperThanDirt has an entire page of 10/22 mounts.

Blackhawk Tactical Scope
I was considering getting one for my .22, but my brother gave me an old Tasco he had for free, so I'm using that now.
