I've only heard complaints about the plot, on how in the movie James, Victoria, and Laurant are the arch enemies of the cullens and stuff, rather than random passers bye... Another complaint I've heard is the fact that Laurant is black. Not being racist and all, just that vampires are supposed to be pale and stuff...
Never heard anything about an iPod... odd...

Aqua Anjel Evil_Dark_Kitty See I'm seeing your point but then the die hard fans get mad at the ppl who hate the movie cause they dont understand our point. I'm a die hard fan also but well If I don't like it I don't like it. Anyways I see your point and I sorta agree. She's a great director I loved 13 but she didnt do a good job with Twilight and I hated that she picked Nikki Reed just cause she worked with her before. Idk thats just my opinion I completely respect yours. she didn't pick Nikki because she worked with her before, she was picked because they felt she read good as rosalie when auditioning. It just so happened that catherine was working on twilight. It was said in an interview.... Actually, that's wrong information. =/ i read this: Before They Were Vampires Nikki Reede (Rosalie Hale) Nikki Reede started her career co-writing and starring in Thirteen with Evan Rachel Wood (left) and later went on to break the hearts of O.C. fans when she broke up long-time couple Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton) and Ryan Atwood (Benjamin McKenzie). YOU MAY NOT KNOW: She co-wrote Thirteen with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke who recruited her for Twilight. shaaazaaamm! haha. sorry. i was looking at this website and i found that...it took me a long time to search for this thread..but yayyyy. i got that cleared up.

It just so happened that catherine was working on twilight. It was said in an interview.... She may have read the part of Rosalie well, but Catherine picked her because she has had her in two of her previous movies. Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown.... if you have a reaccuring actress in your movies, you ask them to read scripts for your upcoming movies. if they are good with that part, hey, they're casted. if they are not good, no movie for you. haha.
anywayssss.... my two cents in this thread is that nobody should bag on the movie until you actually see the movie yourself. once you see the movie, you officially have the right to bag on the movie alllllll you want. you have an opinion, voice it. don't be ignorant and voice it when you have no place to. end of story, lol.Amen to Jellycones.

Yeah I knew that...and she wanted to act the part that Evan Rachel Wood did but she ended up playing as the bad girl. She also did that movie out of her own life experiences. I really liked that movie and I have it. Anyways Well shes not super pretty like Rosalie but I think she did a good job at acting like her. So it makes up for the fact that she doesnt really look like rosalie.

yeah...but some of it bugs me. i think the fact that she had a cd player not an ipod symbolizes something... but complaining before seeing the movie isnt good. though i saw it, now can i complain? >.<

Perhaps and most likely they chose an ipod because they wanted to make the time of the book more up to date with the real world time so it could relate more to the viewers.

Your My Brand Of Heroin ok, heres the thing....IT CAN NOT BE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE BOOK!!!! THERE HAS TO BE CHANGES!!!
people are complaining because she has an iPod! who gives a s**t?!
and the same thing when Edward tells her his age, he does that in a forest instead of a car. oh well !!! maybe they have more to talk about in the movie on the way back from Port Angeles!!
god you guys, wait until the damn movie comes out until you start complaining. i couldn't agree with you more, i mean everyone at my school who has already seen the movie just keeps comparing it to the book, seriously!!! if you go see it and look at it as a movie and stop comparing it to the book then you'll have a better chance of liking it, if you don't then your more likely to hate it!!!

I completely agree with the last post. after all what may be interesting in a book may not be in a movie. things are more active in our minds and when put on a screen it may seem boring or drawn out. and you also have to think of time and budget for movies that you wouldn't for a book. it really takes a lot of thinking to translate a book into a movie. they didn't change the basis of the book, they kept the essance and got nessesary information across (although i wish that they told alice's story. i was a little peeved that they took that out) and they did a good job at forshadowing at the end. although i wish they would have picked a better actress for bella i don't hate the movie. sure the book is better but since when is it ever the other way around really. it's always better in our minds because it's exactly how we want to see it. a movie comes from someone elses mind and persepctive. put these factors together and you can't deny that it would be hard to make a movie everyone will like. Don't expect too much and it will get better. cause unlike the characters in the story, we're only human with a limited budget.

Your My Brand Of Heroin thank you my people.
others just need to stop bitchin'.
and to VampirePrincessOftheNorth: did you not like the cd? i honestly think it could have been better, but the only thing i found complain-worthy was bellas lullaby. it was too short and anything less than extraordinary of what it would have been if Edward himself had written it.
but that was the only thing. I dont know why I hated the soundtrack its just that the songs seemed not like twilight at all. There were some that fit the story wonderfully. But some sucked like the one Rob made I was appalled at how much he sounded like a country blue grass singer. The only song I really liked on there was supermassive black hole.
