"Nu-uh," he insisted shaking his head. "There can only be one winner and it'll be me!" he exclaimed sticking his tongue out at her as he bounced to his feet, tail swinging happily behind him.
His ears flattened against his head briefly as he shrugged, "It seems like it." He looked up at his muse squinting as he did so. "Just found out today," he explained turning his gaze back to her. "I dunno, it keeps saying weird stuff, maybe it chose me because I'm already lots like it?" he gasped delighted by the idea.
"That'd be soooooooo cool!" he squealed not making clear which he was talking about, his muse or her wanting to be his imaginary friend. "That'd be awesome Lamya," he nodded. "We'll be the bestest best imaginary friends eveeeeeeeer."
Well he certainly seemed thrilled at that idea.

"Nuh-uh," Lamya countered, once again mimicking his tone of voice and expression. He stuck out his tongue and bounced to his feet, so she stuck out her tongue and jumped to her feet. "It'll be me!"
"I think you are a lot like the sun," she informed him with a nod, "Bright and shiny and happy. I think the sun looks happy. I bet it likes to laugh."
When he declared that she could be his imaginary friend, as well, Lamya's little heart soared. She liked Mimi very much, and was delighted to have met somebody so special today. He would be her imaginary friend for the rest of ever, and they would be very happy together.
"Good," she grinned playfully at him, "I like you."

This time he caught on to the fact that she was mimicking him and he frown feigning anger at her. "Hey! Stop copying me!" he growled glaring at her and pressing his lips together in an angry pout. His ears flattened against his head as he turned his head away complete with a "Hmph!" If he were human he totally would've crossed his arms over his chest in a fit. Of course he mostly turned his head away from her to hide the corners of his lips curling upward.
He was trying to pretend to be angry! If he started to grin, well it'd ruin everything!!
Unfortunately, or fortunately for her, his guise cracked far to easily and he found himself grinning broadly, especially as she spoke. "Yeah! I know, it's cool huh?" he giggled, he wasn't very good at being anyone but himself.
"I like you too!"

"Hey, stop copying me!" Lamya mocked Mimi, grinned and giggling for all she was worth. Nothing in the world was more fun than this. Except, she hadn't expected him to get mad at her. The dark cub's face fell in surprise and sorrow when he turned away from her, and her ears flattened against the back of her head uncertainly.
She licked her lips, suddenly shy, and considered apologizing to him a moment before he transformed again. She gasped in astonishment when he giggled, and then burst into a fit of laughter herself.
He was such fun.
"I'm glad you are my best imaginary friend, Mimi." Her voice was earnest, meaningful.

He pouted again as she mimicked him once more knowing that she would start to get worried if he pouted long enough. He hadn't seen much of her expression when he first pretended to be upset with him but what he had he knew she didn't like it. So he wanted to tease her just a little bit.
"I'm glad you're my best imaginary friend, Lamya," Mimi mimicked her grin spreading across his maw. If she wanted to play the copy game he would play it too. "We'll be best imaginary friends forever okay?" he asked her looking up hopefully.
Bed time, see you when I rise, his muse whispered to him prompting him to look back behind him as the sun began to set. It was getting late, he needed to go soon.
"Oooh, sorry Lamya I gotta get going, momma's not gonna be happy if I stay out too late," he told her ears flattening in sadness. "But I'll see you soon okay?" he told her grinning softly as he started to back up.
He didn't want to go but he didn't want to get in trouble and not be able to play with his new friend either.
