I can't afford my Mac pro dream machine...
Yeah, thirty-two thousand dollars is a bit steep for my current budget.
Hell, for less than a grand, I can build a fairly EPIC gaming PC. Two grand, and it'll have liquid cooling and an HD monitor, as well.
Thirty two will get you an octo-core Mac with two 30" displays and fiber optic support, among other features.

AND GET A GOOD ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM!

There are plenty of good free ones. AVG, Avast!, Malwarbytes (As an ADDITION to a pay program like Norton), and there are also a bunch of fakes. Do research on the program, first.

They're good.
Antivir is a good light antivirus that's easy on the computer if you have a sucky one.

I suggested Firefox as well...
but in a more wordy explanation.

If you can afford it i highly recomend you ditch Norton and get the Firewall and Antivirus program from Iolo. I have used two different versions of it on two different computers and i can say i've never had a better program. The program is smart too, it actually detected a virus in something i was downloading almost immediately.

I bought the System Shield package for my computer and couldn't be happier with it. http://www.iolo.com/ss/3/

The prices are going to drop soon wink
I think Macs have always had better virus protection-check out an older version, it might be slower, but it won't get sick
It's not so much "better virus protection", but that they aren't "the machine" to be raged against. They aren't "Big Corp." who has "******** over everyone in america".

Not to mention, they are nto the majority of machines, so it's not too productive to spend time writing viruses for a Mac, and COMPLETELY USELESS to do it for Ubuntu.

You want SAFE surfing? Dual-boot Ubuntu. See if you can get Hardy Heron, the latest long-term-support release, since their latest release (PERIOD, not long-term-support), Intrepid Ibex still has quite a few bugs. Ubuntu has some of the best security out there, and Vista has chosen to emulate (read:steal) a few of those measures, such as not having access to the Administrator account.

Ubuntu, ********. BEATS 'EM ALL! MWAHAHAHA!

Mac snobs are too full of themselves and Apple thinks their computers are "teh shitz0rz" and charges WAY TOO ******** MUCH for their machines, of which with the same money you can build your own GODLY gaming PC and even buy a couple games.

If you're a PC gamer, get a PC.
If you want to browse the net VERY safely or if you're a business owner, get a Mac

BTW: did your main get a permanent ban?
Apple products are some of the more easily-hackable things out there. You don't even really need special programs to hack the Iphone, you can do it by exploiting defects in the programming. You just have ot know what you're doing. The BEST OS for security would be a Linux distro, the most widely known being Ubuntu.

Mac OS7: Remote access to a computer has no safeguards against deleting the system folder. Also, remote accessing your own computer through a remotely accessed computer holds the same defect. Two computers, dead in the water.

You can't do that with Windows or ubuntu!

Hell, you can't be Remote Desktopped TO if you're using a Home addition of Windows. And then that has restrictions. And with ubuntu, good luck getting it to work, and good luck deleteing ANYTHING AT ALL.

Well yeah, you don't have to remote network in Windows. You just delete the system32 folder. It's a well known "you ******** idiot" trick, getting the other guy to delete his system32 folder. At least Mac will say "some of these items are vital to the system, you can't delete them."

As well as a bunch of other things that I don't need.
