Spanish Lessons - know any free websites? Any tips?

I'm wanting to try and teach myself Spanish. I learnt it in GCSEs probably 4 or 5 years ago now (man do I feel old!) but literally all I can remember is what i knew already and what verb endings to use -haha

I look for sites that could help teach me useful spansih (most basic level upwards) but most of them aren't free ><

Does anyone now of any good websites? Or does anyone have any tips on how best to go about learning a new language?
I know the best way to learn a langauge is to just park yourself in another country for a couple of years and live there, but -not surprisingly- this isn't an option for me xd

I'm afraid I don't know any off hand....

When I needed one though I usually just used google and searched for "free translations" or "free spanish translations."

the problem with translations is that they're rarely accurate and don't give you much help on sentance structure either confused

bloody hell i'm crap.
That SHOULD have been soemthing along the lines of. 'I'm good... more or less' and that i'm going to class which 'is boring'

lol! spanish is quite complex. I dont recommend to learn it on internet a RL teacher would be better.

i'd recommend a spanish-english dictionary or some books dat revolves around a spanish character..dey usually have a index at de end of the book and also de easiest way to pronounce it

Well if you wanted to use that, find a free torrent to download it online. It is seriously expensive.

I was looking at it one day because I wanted to learn Latin and it was I think $500 dollars for part one of two parts. I decided I didn't need to learn latin that badly.

when i'm back at home i'll root around for my old gcse stuff, if it's still there. my grandad might ahve some tapes too *ponders*

i dont' expect to be a whizz at it, but as long as I can make myslef be relatievly half-decently understood -haha
