Yahoo_News "DETROIT – James Howarth is a little confused by two letters he has received from the Internal Revenue Service. The Detroit defense lawyer received one letter in November that said he owed the IRS money — five cents. He was warned that he should pay "to avoid additional penalty and/or interest," the Detroit Free Press reported Saturday. Howarth says he then received a second letter telling him the government owes him money — four cents. He was told he would have to request the refund since it's less than $1. "When I owe them a nickel, I must pay them. It's not optional," he said. "But when they owe me, I have to ask for it." Howarth says he's not sure if there is a connection between the two notices, or if the refund represents a recalculation of the original bill. The perplexed lawyer says he called an IRS 800 telephone number but gave up after spending a long time on hold. IRS spokesman Luis D. Garcia says the agency doesn't comment on individual accounts."

SBBuckner Freak_090 ArmasTermin I don't know whether that's more funny or sad. How about, dishearteningly amusing? Definitely amusing also...CHATTERBOX News should be in the main forum. Random talk is CHATTERBOX
The sad part is, by sending the guy mail, and by even looking at his record the government wasted at lest $20.

That's their angle. Do whatever costs the most money.
Doesn't the Government or the Military want the Military to use Colt brand ARs?

The US government has a contract with Colt Arms, what ever the US military decides to use as it's service rifle, Colt gets rights to it and starts making them.

Doesn't the Government or the Military want the Military to use Colt brand ARs? My dad was once part of a two-man team selling Honeywell computers to the Pentagon. His parter was always trying to sell them their newest, fastest, top-of-the-line computers, and never made a sale. My dad emptied out an entire warehouse of old computers that the company was going to destroy for being too obsolete to sell, and he sold them at three times the price they debuted for.
In short, the entire government is ******** retarded.

You know what would be interesting? If the military decided to switch to the G36 and Colt started making those.
But they'd be expensive as... well... a Colt Brand G36.
