I had no idea Queensland had changed their slogan from "The Sunshine State" to "The Smart State"!
I can't see why they would!

I agree, I was told NSW had the hardest HSC examinations. Why Queensland?

And here's another fun fact I never knew! Anyone else got a good one?

I was born in Brisbane, but left when I was a toddler. I went back for a two week holiday when I was 15 years. But I haven't really seen Queensland... yet!
LOL about the NSW HSC exams, I would have believed you if you hadn't said that's just what you heard!!
I now live in Tasmania : "Explore The Possibilites" or with the older slogan "The Garden State". I like the "Garden State" because that's why I live here - for the absolute greenery of forests and fields, even though, like the rest of OZ, we're in a drought!!

I have done the HSC and it was not as rewarding as I'd hoped when it came to hard work however I do believe it was hard but I don't have anything to compare it to for me to make a personal judgement.
I love Tasmania. I haven't been there yet but I know a lot of people who ahve and that's exactly why I love it too. I love the forests and the scenery as well as the potential for fresher air.

What a rude slogan. It makes the rest of Australia sound dumb.

I think in the end no one particular area can be specified as smart or 'dumb' for that matter lol Every population of people has a wide range of different intellectual levels
