Game crashing when I quit.

I tried to play Sims 2 last week and when I quit my computer had a blueish screen and it kept playing a sound clip from the game continuously.

I had to manually shut down my computer.
When I turned it back on I got the "Send Error Report" message as usual.
I looked at the technical info they give you and it just had some random temp files.



wtf ? D:



EDIT: I didn't even make it to gameplay this time.
I got to the last bar of the loading screen and it crashed.


And now I can't even uninstall the game.
I went through the start menu and whenever I click uninstall it doesn't do anything.
I can't even uninstall through the Control Panel.

My computer hates me cry

I don't think so.
I guess I get to scan my computer again.

I scanned for six hours using seven-ish different scanners.
Nothing.

If it wasn't for the bit at the end about not being able to uninstall/reinstall then I would have suggested maybe your computer was overheating but even that wouldn't cause the uninstall/reinstall thing.

I finally got it to allow me to uninstall a few games.
I'm not sure how, I've tried it like, 100 times. XD
Even with closing out EVERYTHING.

I'm going to talk to my parents later about getting me a new video card.
I'm really tired of starting over with my neighborhoods.
I had like, a 20-family legacy going.


But anyways, do you think it was my video card, sound card, or both?

Causing the crashes? Probably the graphics card. I've not heard any tales of sound cards causing crashes, just weird or no sounds.

Well it kept repeating a sound clip when it crashed.
But I'm guessing that was the fault of the graphics card as well?

If I ever force my game to quite through the task manager then whatever music was playing at the time will get stuck playing about 2 seconds over and over from when I told it to quite until it actually does. Thats to do with the game processes, not the sound card.

Alright.
Well at least now I know that's somewhat normal.

I'm contemplating installing it again and maybe just one expansion pack.
But I'm not sure if I want to go through all that trouble again for it to not work.
