(I wish to join)
You're car has broken down along side the edge of a plantation. It's storming and you've got another hour before you reach home. Tired, hungry, and frustrated, you get out of your car and head towards the house that's at the end of a long driveway. You glance behind you some as you feel as if you're being watched. You shiver and quicken your pace. Once at the door you take a deep breath and knock. No answer. You know again. Still no one answers. You sighed with frustration and knock once more. Suddenly the door opens on its own and you take a step back. You don't want to go inside, but you don't want to stay outside either. Taking a shaky breath you enter the large plantation house and look around. "Hello?" You call out. No one answers. You sigh to yourself and notice that the place is filled with dust and that the funiture looks as i it hasn't been sat in in years. You swallow hard, your heart beating fast now. Over to your left is a parlor of sorts and you walk into it. Your breath catches in your chest as you're faced with hundreds of reflextions all of yourself. Your heart thumps against your chest and you walk further into the room. The room has to be filled with at least a hundred or more mirrors. Yougo over to some of them, looking into them, studying them. Some are very old. But there's one mirror, over to your right, beside a Grand Piano that catches your attention. It's large and is trimmed with carved figures of monsters, knights, Princess, demons, angels, and other creatures. Over to the side of the mirror, on the wall, are the words: The World of Dreams. Your fingers trace the mirror's face and suddenly it glows. You take a step back, but it's too late. The light washes over you and suddenly you find yourself somewhere else. You gaze around at all the creatures and people that surround you. "Welcome!" A man calls out to you from a dragon's back. "Welcome to the world of dreams!" he says. "World of what?" You ask. "Dreams!" "How did I get here?" "The writing on the wall!" "The what?" The man just laughs and rides off. You look around you and it hits you. The writing on the wall had said the world of dreams. You begin to think to youself. Is that where you are? A world of dreams? Can't be. Suddenly a fairy flys over to you and giggles sweetly as it studies you. "Oh, my God..." You gasp.

He gripped her tightly, and for a moment, her heart quickened. She puckered her lips cutely, and it all disappeared. She blinked and looked longingly into the mirror.
Finishing her hair, she grabbed her bag and rushed off to school. Missing the brief acceptance of her imaginative wish in the mirror.
Sighing with contempt, she balled up the piece of paper under her scrutiny, a large red R stood out, as it flied across the room. Elizabeth listened for the sound of the paper hitting the floor, but none came. She turned and looked around frantically, knowing her critical mother, and abusive father would be expecting to see the assignment.
She heard the familiar pounding of feet up the stairs, and tears were already falling. Abandoning her search, she sank to the floor, and leaned up against the mirror. The sinking feeling ignited her senses. The mirror, it appeared, became a gate way, an entrance of sorts, the walls glittered with words, and Elizabeth only glance at the poems, and stories as she fell through the gateway, the door she had been leaning against. Elizabeth found the fall almost delightful, but the thought of landing made her frown. But she continued to fall, and fall she did, until she floated to the floor as light as a cherry blossom in the wind.
She looked around in amazement the lush greenery, and beautiful landscape of trees and flowers. She wandered in the meadows and met with a small village. The people looked at her kindly, and generously offered her food and shelter.
She never found that awful test, although it was sitting carefully unfolded on her floor, as her parents found her gone. And on the wall, of that small room where she had once found solace, was the mystical entrance that lived only in legends; it bore the markings, the writing on the wall.
This is the world of dreams, the world of solace, a world where support is just a question away, and love is given unconditionally.
Wrote this in twenty minutes, but I really like it ^.^
