Lurking outside the temple, the three tailed beast freak stalked about. It was unusual, it had piqued his interest because there had been the air of animal like qualities here.
"...What is this place..."
He snarled as he spoke eyeing the temple with his good eye before making his way in. He had to find what made him curious. What was calling him to be here.

The echo of chirping birds seeped through the canopy of the trees to cascade upon the cool earth below. It was bright and sunny today, a good sign as it mean't that the Deity who presided over these lands was in a decent, if not pleasant, mood. The rustle of ferns and the creak of trees was evident as a warm breeze snaked its way through the foliage. All was still with the exception of an ocassional animal sighting.
Creatures darting here and there, deer lazily making their way to open ground in order to graze upon the grass which recieved the most sunlight and was therefore juicy and plump. Squirrels scattered up the trees in a frenzy, dropping leaves and twigs in their wake as they chased each other, causing a stir. But there was no immediate sign of any higher power. As enchanting as this place was and as strong a mystical air as it held, brimming with arcane presence, there was no sign of anything other than wildlife. The world was still.

Crouching down to the ground, the beast became ever more defensive. That silence that usually accompanied his arrival meant that the prey were not frightened. This didn't set well with him, he decided to continue further in, he would find out why things were so casual. The apex predator had to know.
"I don't like the feeling of this...its too unnatural..."

The animals were calm, even in the presence of a predator like the Beast Freak. Their fear was nowhere to be sensed and they idly grazed on the lucious foliage. Predatory creatures lurked deeper within the forest, yet they seemed not to be interested in hunting at the moment and relaxed in the sun or shade depending on their needs. The wind picked up and rustled the leaves of every tree, the sound was almost musical in it's serenity. The music of the earth. All of the animals froze and raised their heads to the sky where they sensed the Goddess was approaching.
Fauna walked slowly through the forest. Her bright, yellow eyes slit as a felines and trained on the woods before her. Mist sprung up around her feet and animals walked fluidly by her side, great and small. Her large ears perked and she gave a low, feral growl. There was an anomaly in her territory. "Beast of the land, come forward. You are not unknown to me." She stopped moving and the animals did like-wise, freezing on both sides and a few feet behind. All eyes trained on the newcomer with great curiousity.

His tails dropped, he was at unease. He didn't know what to do, he was confused again. He couldn't comprehend this powerful being, somehow sensing that was what called him. He for the first time hesitated to rip the knife from his tail, his baser instincts told him it was a bad idea.
"What...are you...you confuse me...this place...its unnatural...the prey do not fear me."
His confusion was further showing as he reached up to hold his own head, he had a hard time dealing with things that were unusual, and if he was further confused he would go feral and frenzy. A thing which he had tried to keep under control. Though a faekat he was, on the inside he was the most savage beast there could be.

Fauna didn't move, when the creature before her spoke she seemed to be half here and half somewhere else as her eyes lifted and focused on something deeper into the forest. But she had heard him and was not surprised, many who ventured into her domain were confused, especially those closer to her creations than was considered normal. Birds gathered in the trees nearby and sang many soft songs and as Fauna spoke they grew silent. "I am Fauna, Goddess of animals. You have found your way into my realm, though how you came here in ignorance eludes me. Why are you here?" She was usually very short with mortals, not seeing the point in dancing around and being anything other than what she was.
The Goddess knew what he was, she could sense it. His appearance only convincing her further. He was all manner of beasts, all manner of predators. Her eyes would be upon him very carefully while he roamed in her domain so as to assure her animals that they would continue to be safe. The penalty for hunting and killing in her realm was severe. A life for a life. So it was and so it had always been. There were exceptions but they were ones which Fauna herself had made and for specific reasons. While a predator from the realm below was in her territory, she would watch him like a hawk.

"I...don't know...part of me told me I should come here, but the part of me that isn't a beast is confused. I feel like I am some kind of duality..."
He closed his eyes for a moment, he needed to calm himself, his predatory instincts had caused a surge of adrenaline to course through his body. He needed to calm himself more, he felt himself on the verge of a frenzy.
"I am the beast freak, Kusanagi...something tells me I should serve you. But I do not know...I am a beast that is best living in the shadows of the forest hidden from the normal. I feel out of place, my instincts have been culled since I entered your realm...it doesn't feel right..."
He spoke softly his serpentine tail whipped subtly behind him, he didn't want to offend the goddess, she had the power to end him, he wanted to avoid such.

Fauna's body remained alert but her eyes relaxed subtly and she nodded, obviously understanding of his severe duality and the resulting confusion which spawned from it. "Your instinct has indeed been culled, here the predators and the prey roam together and to ensure they may happily reside in each-others midst they have been enchanted to desire peace. Yet this is not done without their will, at any time they may desire it and I shall gladly send them to the realm below where the enchantment shall be broken and they will take on the desires of their kind. Here hunting is reserved for those of high standing and only to designated areas. All others remain in a state of tranquility and comfort, free to roam where they please and free from the pangs of hunger." The animals beside her watched the Beast Freak closely, remaining steadfast beside their Goddess.
The Goddess raised her paw and lifted the males predatory anger, removing the threat of frenzy. "When you leave you're predatory desires and needs will return. But within my realm I cannot allow you to keep them. Come, walk with me and I will speak with you on the matter of your nature. If you so desire." The Deity turned, her steps silent, the animals following closely yet making a space at her side in the event that Kusa should choose to join. She was pleased to see him within her realm, it had been ages since she'd last seen the male and, of course, he would never remember having seen her. All creatures with the blood of animals were created by her, Kusa was one of them, it was obvious enough to anyone with eyes. And she'd had her eye on him from time to time. One didn't send a beast out into the world without making sure that beast was behaving. And not only had he flourished in the realm below but he'd been fathering children, many children. The birds began to sing again, following after Fauna and puffing their feathers to absorb the warm, lazy sunlight.

Feeling more lucid than he had in sometime he decided to follow her, the frenzy was gone, the frenzy that always consumed him. He was pleased by this feeling, it was nice. He found the hunger was gone, and it was good.
"I have never felt such lucidity...the animalistic frenzy that normally consumes me is gone. I thank you..."
He leaned over bowing to her, he was grateful for this feeling, he struggled to fit into the society of those he had met. There were only a few who understood his nature. And the goddess, who he now saw was quite stunning was another who understood him, she probably understood him best of all.

The Deity of animals appeared on silent paws behind her mate and playfully nudged her into the temple. "You know you have free reign within my territories my darling. Do not fear to enter." Her purr was deep and sensual but hinted at an animalistic nature that could neither be tamed nor controlled. Luckily for her she had found a mate which understood her perfectly. She was deeply in love with her mate and the fact that they were about to have babies made her feel all the more protective and territorial of her domain. Therefore she had shut the borders of her lands down, employed her most trusted guard to prowl the edges of her lands to keep any unwanted visitors out until her young had been hatched. Slipping an apple from her mate she smiled and brushed the hair from her eyes. "Thank you for the offering my beloved, these look simply delicious." She had seen the hard work her Angelique had been doing, such a thing would never go unnoticed, and she was at a loss to express her gratitude. Certainly she had lucked out and been given a more than worthy lifemate, one she could never possibly take for granted.

Lizzie smirks as she nudged . She walks into the temple, she turns and takes her mates paw and smirks at her~ " I know, I wanted to show you respect my heart." Her mate made her happy she was excited with them being parents and watched the eggs carefully to make sure they were safe and protected. She watches slip a apple and smirks then kisses her cheek " your welcome, I'm glad that you are happy with the apples my heart." she walks farther in the temple then over to the eggs she smirks and touches them lightly. " They are the most beautiful thing I have seen, well the second most." she smiles and runs a hand through her hair. She then looks at her mate and smirks again and walks over to her to snuggle
