"sound like you guys enjoy giving shooters a bad name. I would talk to him and find out what's up with the brass, if he was picking it up to make some $$ I would pay him to pick up my brass for me.

there as a guy at the range that looked like a bum and the only guns he had were old 22's and his car was old and junkie looking so no body was talking to him, till an old saying came into my head "you never know when you are in the company of angels". so I asked him if he would like to shoot my h bar, the guy started to get tears in his eyes and said he had no ammo and no money to pay for it, I said be my guest and handed him the rifle. he held it like it was a long lost friend then went on the do nice double taps all in the Xring, when he finished he went to hand me the rifle back and I just threw another mag in it and handed it back.

when he was finished he thanked me and told me he hasn't shoot one since 68, that was how he got his limp too his whole squad was wiped out and he was left for dead.

that was my best day shooting ever"

Pretty cool post.

I got it from this thread from ar15.com.

The way the guy described it... the guy remembers him every time he comes out, but he has to tell him sometimes two or three times a day to stop grabbing his brass? He's well within his rights to tell him to step the ******** down and leave his goddamned brass alone.

Yeah that's pretty awesome.

But sucks about the brass thiefs.
I don't reload but in the hopes that one day I may start it up or gather enough brass to sell a bunch at once for $$$profit$$$, I keep mine, but mostly I shoot the lacquer coated Barnaul, Bear and steel cased Wolf.

I think that with the milsurp s**t that it's possible to reload the brass but it's such a pain in the a** to remove the primer that people don't see the use.
I collect it anyway.

Got a wood crate that I'm dumping it all into, except for the rounds that have the hard plastic holders inside the boxes, I put them back on the holder and inside the box and stack them in my closet.

At the Oakdale gun range that I go to when it's open there's a trash bin for spent brass that no one wants, I usually look through it and take one or two that are unique.
Got some 10mm and a 45-70 that way.

Yeah. Brass thieves kind of suck.

Although, he should be using a brass-catcher if he already knows that there'll be someone there to steal his brass.

That's awesome, but I was reading about the brass thief. I would be pissed if some dude was doing that s**t to me.

And that's why I'll bring a 12-gauge. Wait until he starts to pick up the brass, then aim the ejection port at his head and rack the slide. That'll hurt like hell. I had a friend who had it happen when he fired a SPAS-12 left-handed, and it left a noticable bruise.
