You can tell that there is something wrong with what he is saying... When he said it his tone jumped between State and Right. How could anyone NOT notice that there were words missed? His words didn't flow at all.
Distorting facts is one thing, but leaving out words to create a completely different picture is another thing entirely... I believe it is called, "Slander"?
"Johnny knocked on the door and went up stairs to see Susie after being let in." Could be read: "Johnny knocked up Susie."
