What I'm talking about is a bunch of soldiers wrote Starbucks and said how much they missed the coffee and asked if they would kind enough to send some over for the troops. The response they got from corprate was along the lines of: We at Starbucks do not support the war, those fighting in it, or what it stands for.

Well, I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing.. They're just doing what they mean (or lack of doing). You just gotta look at it from two sides...
it was kinda a d**k move... and they might have just wanted more money and not give stuff for free... ... XD
