Oh god...
not Marlin...

Stopped by walmart yesterday, absolutely NO handgun or rifle ammo.
Only shotgun.
I was there yesterday. Couple boxes of .25ACP, couple boxes of .308, FIFTY boxes of Remington .223, and a whole ******** shelf unit of misc. 12 gauge.

Will it be like this for four years?

I doubt it. They'll step up production either next quarter or next fiscal year.

I've been bugging my dad to pick up some 9mm ammo so we can have a stockpile (I'm paying) but he hasn't been able to get it lately (no one around in the section...?) but says friends at work tell him they're having a hard time finding ammunition and that he hardly saw anything across and under the counter when he was at Wal Mart. I was saying just get a box of FMJ and a box of hollow points and that I'd just try to get a box a week, but now I'm thinking get as much as possible up to like five boxes because who knows when it'll be there again...

stressed

I've looked around a bit online and have found near everything is out of stock.

Maybe I should get myself a .41 Magnum or a 10mm or something. Could probably find ammo for that. xp

The Walmart and Gandermountain limit the amount of boxes you can buy at a time.
Walmart limits to 4, Gander limits to 5.

Or at least around here they do.

Wal-Mart says 5 here, but only on certain kinds. You can buy all the .25ACP or 12 gauge you want. Then again, 500 rounds of #7.5 is kind of excessive.

If there is a zombie apocalypse, shotguns are awesome.

But, I'm not sure if target load is good for zombies...

Do you do a lot of trap shooting?

I don't now, but the local trap club is starting up this month and is looking for new members. I'm really, really tempted to join but I can't afford the ammo. I could borrow my dad's shotgun, but he'd make me buy the ammo. crying

Hah, hell no. What would you do with #7.5 birdshot, draw their attention? Ceretainly wouldn't kill them.

Guess what, guys. The ammo fairy visited me today! Rather I visited her. [innuendo]And let me tell you that babe's not cheap. She's good, don't get me wrong, but she's not cheap.[/innuendo]

Got up early (9am is early for me) and saw the Star Trek movie. I liked it, but I've never seen an episode of the original Star Trek so I can't say if it was a good base off the original. Anyway, went by Academy and found they actually had 9mm. Got 5 boxes of Monarch 115 grain FMJ. Probably sucks, but it's the only thing anyone has and it's $10.99 a box. Also got two boxes of Winchester .30-30 170 grain jacketed soft-points for a gun I don't even have (yet).

$90 in all. sweatdrop

And I don't even have half of what I want. Or a tenth. Plate was right, ammo hoarding is addictive. I might have to give up sweets.
