I had to write a sonnet for English and this is what I came up with. Tell me what you think biggrin
Flight of the Phoenix
An angel of fire,
The heat of your breath
With your flames so dire
Scar the night with death.
From your feathers flames flow,
Rising from the ashes,
Higher and higher your flames will grow
As your brilliant light flashes.
To ash you'll turn;
Fly, Phoenix, fly!
You may burn,
But you'll never die.
Flame streak the night,
Marking the path of your flight.
