"I er... don't go!" He didn't want her to leave, not yet! It was a miracle that someone was actually talking to him! He let out a soft sigh.
"I just didn't have a family, well not really. Mother left us so... yeah" He looked at the ground as he spoke. He didn't like opening up to anyone let alone someone he had hardly met but he felt as if he needed to explain his self a little.

She glanced over her shoulder at him, frowning slightly as her gaze drifted to the ground. "My mother left too... So now it's just us, my two brothers and I, and daddy. I don't know what we would've done without him, but... We're grown up now, sort of." She and her brothers had grown up knowing nothing but the pride they were born into and their father's love. "The person I'm the closest to is my brother. We used to play together all of the time."

"I don't have a father." As far as he was concerned he didn't. He hadn't a clue how cubs came about, he had never witnessed it, had the urge to do such things or ever had his mother around to find out. So as far as he knew, he didn't have a father nor did he really know what one was or what they did.
"I have a brother but I don't know where he is. Mother mentioned once I have some sisters and other brothers too but... I don't know their names or where they are." He was alone, completely alone. He also swam in his own self pity, because he envied the fact that she had a father and was close to a brother. He envied the fact that she was also in a pride.
Yes he was drowning in self pity.

She frowned, brow furrowing slightly as she stepped back towards him, pausing to butt her head gently against his, giving his cheek a gentle nuzzle. "It's okay." She wasn't really sure whether it was or not but saying that it was seemed like the right thing, maybe even the adult thing, although she wouldn't admit that to herself, not ready to take that final step towards growing up.
"Maybe... You could stick around? Meet my brother and my father, when he comes back from wherever it is that he's been... It wouldn't be the same as your own family, but..." Maybe the thought would count?

The physical attention was strange, odd but yet comforting. He wasn't sure what to make of it and so looked rather awkward for a moment. Whether she was right and it was all okay? Well who knew he was use to life as it was.
In the pride? Was she inviting him in, he couldn't meet others in the pride he was a rogue, he didn't belong!
"I... I.. can't go back in the prides lands it wouldn't be right, I am a rogue." Its not allowed which is why he had spent all his life creeping around them and by the blessings of whatever gods were out there hadn't been spotted until now. Though for all he knew he could have been spotted before but never had noticed.

"Well..." She paused as she sat back, glancing over her shoulder for a moment as she pondered what her next course of action should be. "We could stay here then, for a while, maybe... On the borders, so you're not really in and I'm not really out? We could talk. You could tell me what it's like out there." Her eyes brightened slightly as she glanced back at him. "Since you don't like to play..."

"Erm.. ok what do you want to know?" He wondered slightly why she wanted to know she didn't seem interested in leaving the pride and he was nervous about joining a pride so this did suit them well but... why did she want to know? Maybe she was just being nice. Yes, he would settle for that at least for now anyway.
"It's not that I don't like playing... just I don't." Well he didn't know how to play really but he wasn't about to actually admit that so the fact that he wasn't sure would do for now.

"If you did you might like it more." She smiled, tail swishing as she watched him for a moment, thinking on the questioned he'd asked her before flopping down. "I don't know... Anything, really. What's it like out there? Are there lots of interesting things? Do you ever get lonely?"

"Maybe..." She was probably right after all.
Whats it like... lonely, boring, lonely... yes very lonely.
"Its a bit plain and really big, there are some odd animals and yes its lonely but some lions travel in big groups so they don't get lonely." That answered her questions, at least he hoped they did. He wasn't good at describing things.

"What about you, then? Do you travel in big groups with other lions?" There was so much curiosity in her voice, along with strong interest in everything he had to say. "I think... I think I'd miss my brother horribly if I was ever all alone."

"No I don't...." He didn't really want to go in to it and so he left it hanging.
"You could go with your brother? Maybe you would both find something that suits you more." It was only a suggestion after all but it was also a possibility, one that Nahum wondered she would consider. She seemed happy here but she seemed restless. Maybe if her brother went with her they would find somewhere more suited to call home.

"I... I'd never thought of that, really." She murmured softly as she glanced down for a moment, the wheels in her mind turning. "I don't know if he'd want to go anywhere else, if he's ever even thought of it... I mean, maybe he has... Since Father wouldn't have met the lioness he's with now if he hadn't gone wandering, but..."
Her gaze shifted back up to the young lion, head tilting to the side as she watched him. "Maybe if you came with me to talk to him?"
