Fresnel OberFeldwebel Fresnel OberFeldwebel uryu ishida OberFeldwebel Blood colored gun oil/cosmoline? ... weird. Might be ketchup, knowing this gunshop. Too dark, though. Finally got the damn grips off and everything cleaned out. I had to use a damn scotch-brite pad, though. Next up, soaking it in VERY hot water when I get the chance. Ah cool! Speaking of odd grease/oil; The cleaning kit for my SKS smells weird and very strong, pungent is another word. When I asked my father to smell it he said it smells like marijuana. eek I took the butt plate off and sure enough, the stock and inside has that same heavy smell. Aww man, my buttstock just smells like lead. Guess that's what I get for buying factory new. emo I'd much rather my rifle have that fresh rifle or cosmoline smell than this crap. I wonder if there's an airfreshener that smells like cosmoline. eek A million dollar idea! It'll go over HUGE with the Milsurp fans! Omfg... Patent pending... :shifty eyes: Doitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoit "Dude, your car smells like s**t. What IS this air freshener?" "...Get out. Now. You're walking."
*backs up and runs him over, then pulls forward running him over again*
I wonder how to go about doing that.

Good idea.
Later on I'll have to get some scientists together and make a version that doesn't drip all over the dashboard when it gets really hot. |

That could work.
2-3 parts wax, 1 part cosmoline.
Find a mix that's more consistant of candle wax but maximizes cosmo smell.
Is there a source of unscented candle wax? |

If you can't find it there, try the crafts section of Wal-Mart, or a Michael's. I know Michael's has this kind of stuff, I remember running into the wicks and such there once. Either way though, you may find this useful. |

NEW SPRINGS RECIEVED AND INSTALLED!
I installed the 9# spring for the hammer (with some gentle persuasion with a small broken screwdriver and a hammer), and the 15# spring for the recoil. Both seem to fit fine, and IF the sun stays out long enough, I might get to see if the 9# spring hits hard enough to consistently set off rounds.
Oh yeah, and the recoil spring came with a firing pin spring. I can't get the ******** firing pin OUT. I need a dental pick, HEMOSTATS, and tweezers. You have to use a CURVED dental pick to get the extractor out, which releases pressure on the safety and gives more room to work. Then you have to press down on the firing pin to turn off the firing pin safety, push it ALL the way forward, clip the hemostats on as high as they can ********' go, and then have at it pulling the safety out. THEN you can ease the firing pin out.
