As with most other things, I'm extremely open towards music. I usually keep my music library on shuffle and it can go from Isis to the Beatles, to Fiona Apple or Tori Amos to The White Stripes to Bright eyes to Dimmu Borgir to electronic or classical music and then to Kylie Minogue.. to name a few.
I don't listen much to rap although I used to love it, main reason is that I haven't yet taken the time to import all my CD's onto my computer. I rarely listen to rap nowadays. I've not listened to country much although I love Johnny Cash, I guess he's kindof country, and the White Stripes have a few tracks that'd probably classify as country as well.. although I wouldn't know, I'm terrible at genres >.<

There isn't much that I do not like to listen to, but my all time favorite is instremental. Instramental music also makes for some of my best edited scenes.

Let the instrements sing.

Oh man, I loved the music of the 80's and 90's. Well, not all of the music, but a lot of the rock. What I really love is grunge rock. Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pearljam... All those bands that haven't been around for a while. I also like Industrial Rock. Really a lot of different kinds of rock.

Has anybody here heard of Malice Mizer?

I listen to a little bit of modern-style music, but mostly the real classics; classics such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Haydn, Handel, etc. I also love instrumental music, like Legends of the Fall, The Last of the Mohicans, etc. Disney music is a favorite too.

I have quite a few bands that have made it on to my 'Buy a freaking sweatshirt of it' list. Such as AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Mettalica, Green Day, Weird Al Yankovic (where the hell did he come from?), Ted Nugent (Yay, Fred Bear), Black Sabbath/Ozzy, and Motorhead. I have a Led Zeppelin shirt, two AC/DC shirts and an AC/DC sweatshirt.

Wow. I didn't realize how much that was until now. oo;

My favorite band is the Grateful Dead. Their music is played in my house everyday. Other favorites: Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Inlakesh, Zilla, Phish, WideSpreadPanic, Mickey Hart. Bob Dylan, Blind Melon, Phil Lesh, Ratdog, Doors, Led Zepplin, Beatles (John Lennon was my favorite) and let's see, I really dig Norah Jones and I loved Ozzy when he was younger with Black Sabbath. (that was like a really long sentence) eek
Peace.

I listen to anything and everything I can get my hands on.
Some favourites include: Rammstein, DJ Eco, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Who, Atmosphere, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Alexisonfire, Nine Inch Nails...

I really love classical.
I love techno alot though. Has anyone here been the Love Parade in Berlin, or any of the other Love Parades? If you love techno or electronic music, I recommened it.

I picked "Oldies" as the answer, because what I listen to is so eclectic, that it wouldn't be categorized. But, you can never go wrong with the classics... there's a reason why they are so great!

I listen to anything from The Doors, to Reel Big Fish; from Avenue Q, to La Bohème!

Can you say music major?

I like every thing other than rap and country. I especially like musicals and oldies.

I love rock music more than anything else, but I try to be open minded about music...rap is a bit hard for me to swallow though.

My main favorites though, are not with English, but with Japanese music. The music composed by Yoko Kanno is simply beautiful, and I listen to it every day.

I think you should listen to what you like to. People should be able to express themselves. I don't like the deathmetal music. But, you don't see me going around hating on it.

I think we should listen to every genre! Generally, I don't think anybody listens to enough classical music. Not classic rock, but things like Beethoven and Mozart. Their music is wonderful! Plus, classical music is proven to stimulate your brain and help you learn more. mrgreen Don't we need that in our society?
