puns can be funny or just plain dorky. we've all heard them, so why not pool them all in this thread?

i'll start:

Thanks to fossils, archaeologists have been able to determine that there once a genetic mutation millions of year ago, causing the creation of a five-legged dinosaur.
As far as we know, this is the first evidence we have ever seen of a reptile dysfunction.

Today I had some green on so the guy next to me said,"you look a little green, are you okay?"
so I told him I'm fine and asked him if he was cause he had some green on too.
Then he waved his shoe at me and said,"I'm shooing you away"
...

most of them are really bad jokes and they just make you groan and roll your eyes, but some of them can be funny. a pun uses words that have different meanings to deliver the punchline.

for example:

the first one i posted refers to the common name for male impotence, but instead substitutes "a reptile" for the pun.

"i'm trying to come up with a pun about a german philosipher but i Kant"

Immanuel Kant was an 18th century German philosipher and his name closely resembles a contracted phrase used to describe an inability to do something. that's normally the structure of a pun.
